    About CGEPT 2026

    Indian Coast Guard, ministry of Defence has released the CGEPT notification 2026 for batch 1/2026 and 2/2026. The CGEPT application form 2025 was activated from June 11 to 25, 2025. The CGEPT 2 2025 notification and application form were released on the official website, joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in.  

    Indian Coast Guard conducts the CGEPT exam every year to recruit candidates for posts like Navik (Sailor) and Yantrik(Technician). Candidates interested in applying for the exam must go through all the relevant information related to the exam and check if they meet the ICG CGEPT eligibility criteria. Indian Coast Guard announced a total of 630 CGEPT vacancies 2025 in the notification online on the official website.

    What is CGEPT?

    The Indian Coast Guard conducts the Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test twice annually with the goal of hiring candidates to the posts of Navik (Domestic Branch), Navik (General Duty) and Yantrik. The CGEPT selection process is held across four stages, all of which candidates must clear in order to be considered successful in the exam. As of now, only male aspirants are accepted of the CGEPT exam 2025.

    CGEPT Important Dates

    CGEPT Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (session 2026)

    ICG releases the result of CGEPT 2026 online mode. Candidates can access their ICG CGEPT results 2026 by logging in using their credentials. Similarly, candidates will also be able to log in to joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in to access their CGEPT 2026 results for stages II and III as well. The ICG CGEPT 2026 result for stage 2 assessment test will be released on the exam day itself, one hour after the OMR-based test.

    Candidates can follow the steps below to fill out the ICG application form

    • Visit the official website- joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in

    • Log on to the website and register yourself with your e-mail ID/ Mobile number. 

    • Fill out the application form as prompted. 

    • Pay the application fee. 

    • Submit the application form.

    Please note that candidates can only apply for one CGEPT post in a given cycle. In case a candidate selects more than one post, only the latest CGEPT application will be considered, and all prior applications will be rejected.

    Candidates can expect the CGEPT admit card 2 or 3 days before the exam. The conducting body will release the CGEPT admit card online on the official website. Candidate's exam city will be displayed on the official website 10 days before the exam. 

    To download the admit card of CGEPT 2026, candidates must log on to joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in using their credentials. Candidates must ensure that they bring a printout of the CGEPT 2026 admit card along with a photo ID. 

    On the day of the Stage I exam, candidates must carry The valid ID proof that they have uploaded with the application, a colour printout of the CGEPT admit card 2026 and 2 passport-sized photos for document verification. On the day of the stage 2 exam, candidates must upload additional documents to be able to download their admit card.

    ICG already will release the passing marks for the CBT mode exam of Stage I. The CGEPT 2026 cut off are prescribed by post and by category. Candidates need to score higher than the CGEPT 2026  cut off to be considered successful and be permitted to advance to stage II. The qualifying marks of CGEPT 2026 are as follows.

    Indian Coast Guard conducts the ICG CGEPT 2026 Selection Process twice a year over 4 stages. Candidates must pass all levels of the selection process to be successfully recruited to their chosen post. Candidates can find details of the CGEPT 2026 selection process here. 

    Stage I-  At the beginning of this round, there will be a round of document verification where the candidate’s identity will be confirmed. Stage I is an objective exam held online in CBT mode. CGEPT Stage I consists of sections. All candidates must attempt section 1 of the exam. Candidates who are looking to join posts aside from Navik DB must attempt another section of the paper. 

    Stage II- At the beginning of this round is a detailed document verification round where all candidates must bring the specified documents for verification. Then they take an omr-based assessment test. The result of this test is sent out within an hour. Candidates who pass the OMR-based exam will be able to take the physical test. 

    Stage III- Candidates will go through another detailed round of document verification. Candidates will undergo a medical examination at INS Chilka. At this stage, candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for training at INS Chilka. This round takes 2 days. 

    Candidates will go through a final stage of document verification by the Indian Coast Guard. In case of any discrepancy, candidates will be terminated from service.
