Indian Coast Guard (ICG) closed the ICG Assistant Commandant 2024 application form on March 6, 2024. The notification and application form of Assistant Commandant was released on February 19, 2024 in online on the official website. Indian Coast Guard (ICG) every year conducts a recruitment exam for the various posts of Assistant Commandant. The Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant recruitment process is held twice every year.
To be eligible for Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant 2024 post candidates must pass Bachelor’s degree of four years from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. The selection process comprises - preliminary selection (PSB), final selection board and medical examination. Candidates who will qualify in all the three stages will have to undergo training at INA, Ezhimala.

ICG provided the application form of Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant in online mode from February 19 to March 6, 2024. While filling the application form candidates were required to enter their name, father’s name, mother’s name, category and others. Candidates also needed to upload signature and photograph as per the specifications in the application form. They must read all the instructions carefully in order to avoid any mistakes. Candidates will have to select the post of Indian Coast Guard -
aa) Assistant Commandant (General Duty)
ab) Assistant Commandant (General Duty - Pilot)
ac) Short Service Appointment (Commercial Pilot Entry) or
ac) Assistant Commandant (Law)
They need to enter their name, email ID, mobile number, father’s name, mother’s name, marks of class 12th and graduation and they need to select any one of the exam centre
After filling all the basic details, candidates have to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications prescribed by Indian Coast Guard

Indian Coast Guard will release Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant admit card in online mode. Only those candidates can download the admit card who will successfully submit the application form of Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant. They can download their admit card by entering the registration/application number in the login window.
Candidates will have to bring three photocopies of the Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant admit card, any one identity card like Aadhaar card, Passport etc. The admit card of Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant will likely to contain details like name, roll number, name and address of the exam centre, photograph and signature.

After all the selection procedure, a final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in final selection examination for all the candidates who are medically fit. The list will be available on the official website. The final selection will also depend upon the number of vacancies available at the training centre. All the selected candidates will have to undergo a training program that will be held at INA, Ezhimala.
All the eligible candidates will be short listed for preliminary selection exam on the basis of higher percentage of marks secured in graduation. However, the further selection of Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant is done in three stages.
Preliminary Selection Exam: Candidates who have been short listed on the basis of higher percentage of marks will only appear for preliminary selection. The preliminary selection will consist of Picture Perception & Description Test (PP & DT) and Mental Ability Test/Cognitive Test.
Final Selection Exam: All the candidates qualifying in the preliminary round will have to appear for final selection exam. In this exam, candidates will have to undergo psychological tests, group task and interview (personality test).
Medical Examination: Candidates who will be selected in the final selection exam have to appear for the medical examination at the nearest Military Hospital.

After completion of online application process, candidates will be shortlisted for PSB interview. The candidates who will clear PSB interview will be called for FSB interview and medical examination. The final merit list will be made on the basis of performance in all stages.
Candidates need to upload scanned image of photograph and signature as per specifications in the application form.
Candidates do not need to pay any application fee.
Candidates need to select one centre for PSB stage. The FSB interview will be conducted in Noida.
Candidate must have bachelors degree with 55% aggregate and must have studied Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII.
