Bihar Police SI 2023 Exam - Dates, Notification, Registration, Admit Card, Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The exam conducting authority determines the eligibility criteria of Bihar Police SI 2023 taking the age and educational qualification for the candidates into consideration. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria of Bihar Police SI before they fill the application form. 

Bihar Police SI Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Age as on January 1, 2023

• General category male candidates must be between 20 to 37 years of age.

• BC and Ext. BC category male candidates must be between 20 to 40 years of age.

• Female candidates belonging to general, backward and extremely backward category must be between 20 to 40 years of age.

• Both male and Female candidates belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe must be between 20 years to 42 years of age.

Bihar Police SI Eligibility Criteria 2023 - Educational Qualification as on January 1, 2023

Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any stream from a recognised university.

The application form of Bihar Police SI 2023 was released between October 5 - November 5, 2023 by the examination authority in online mode at bpssc.bih.nic.in. Before filling the application form of Bihar Police SI, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria. Along with filling the Bihar police SI application form 2023, candidates must also pay the prescribed application fee in online mode as per their category.

The preliminary exam of Bihar Police SI 2023 is conducted in offline mode. The exam contains 100 objective questions of 2 marks each. Candidates will be given 2 hours in order to complete the preliminary exam of Bihar Police SI 2023. The exam is based on the questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs. For each wrong answer given by the candidates, 0.2 marks will be deducted. No marks will be deducted if the question is left unanswered.

Bihar Police SI Exam Pattern 2020 - Preliminary Examination

All those candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the mains exam of Bihar Police SI 2023.

The mains exam of Bihar Police SI 2023 will be conducted for only those candidates who qualify in the prelims examination.  The mains exam of 2023 Bihar police SI will be conducted for two papers - paper I and II. Bihar police SI Paper I will be based on questions from general Hindi while paper II will contain questions from general studies, general sciences, Indian history, civics, geography, maths and mental ability. Candidates will be allotted 2 hours for each paper. Each question carries 2 marks each while 0.2 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer given by the candidates.

Bihar Police SI Exam Pattern 2023 - mains examination

The exam conducting authority released the admit card of Bihar Police SI 2023 for the preliminary exam from December 1 - 14, 2023 in online mode.  Candidates will be able to download the admit card of Bihar Police SI using their registration ID and password. Only those candidates will be issued the admit card of Bihar Police SI, who will successfully fill the application form. The admit card of Bihar Police SI 2023 will contain the details regarding the candidates and exam like name of the candidates, dates of birth, date and time of examination, and exam centre. 

Candidates must check all the details mentioned on the admit card of Bihar Police SI 2023. A print out of the prelims admit card 2023 must be taken out by the candidates and carry it to the exam centres. Along with the admit card of 2023 Bihar Police SI, candidates must also carry one of the prescribed photo identity proofs - aadhaar card, voter ID card, driving license, PAN card passport, Employee ID card, and College/University ID card.

The Bihar police SI 2023 mains admit card was released from February 6 - 25, 2024 on the official website. The admit card is issued to the candidates who qualify the preliminary exam of Bihar Police SI. Candidates must download the Bihar police 2023 mains admit card by using their registration number and password. The Bihar police SI mains admit card 2023 contains  the candidates name, roll number, dates and time of the mains exam, and exam centre. Candidates must carry Bihar Police mains admit card 2023 to the exam centre on the day of examination along with the prescribed photo ID proofs. It must be kept in mind that no candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam without the Bihar police SI admit card.

The prelims result of Bihar Police SI  2023 was released in online mode on January 25, 2024 at bppsc.bih.nic.in. Candidates can check the Bihar police SI 2023 result by filling in the registration number and password. The result of Bihar Police SI 2023 will contain the marks scored by the candidates and their qualifying status. Candidates who score less than 30% will be referred as unqualified. Candidates as many as 20 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Bihar police SI mains exam based on their performance. 

The result of Bihar Police SI was declared in online mode on March 15, 2024 on the official website. All those candidates who score 305 and more will be referred to as qualified. Candidates as many as 6 times the number of vacancy will be shortlisted for the physical test round. The final merit list will be prepared by taking the marks of the mains exam into consideration. The Bihar police SI PET 2023 exam is scheduled to be conducted on June 2, 2024(tentative).

The cut off of Bihar Police SI will be released by the exam conducting authority in order to shortlist the candidates for the next round of selection process. Bihar Police SI cut off 2023 is the minimum marks that the candidates must score in order to qualify the exam. The cut off 2023 of Bihar Police SI will be determined by taking the category of the candidates into consideration. 

There are various other factors that will be taken into consideration while determining the cut off Bihar Police SI 2023- total number of vacancy, number of candidates appeared, and the difficulty level of the question paper. All those candidates who score the minimum cut off of Bihar Police SI 2023 in the prelims exam will be shortlisted to appear in the mains exam of Bihar.

Candidates must score Bihar Police SI cut off score as per their category in order to qualify for the next round of the selection process. Candidates belong to SC/ST category must score score at least 35.5% marks, Ext.BC/BC category candidates must score 30% marks whereas candidates belonging to general category must score 40% marks to qualify the mains exam of Bihar Police SI 2023.
