SSC GD Constable 2018 - Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the revised result & cut off of SSC GD Constable on September 12, 2019. As per the revised result a total of 5,35,169 candidates have qualified in CBE. For the candidates who have qualified in revised SSC GD Constable 2018 result will be able to check their scorecard shortly. Selected candidates based on SSC GD Constable result are eligible to appear for PES/PET. To appear for PET/PST., candidates will be issued admit card which will available at CRPF official website at crpf.gov.in or crpf.nic.in. SSC had conducted PET/PST of SSC GD Constable exam on August 7, 2019 for those candidates who have qualified as per pevious result. All those candidates who will qualify SSC GD Constable 2018 PET/PST test will be called for Medical Examination. SSC GD Constable recruitment exam consists of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination.

Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for PET/PST based on their performance in CBE. On the basis of aggregate marks scored by the candidates in CBE of SSC GD Constable 2018, final selection of candidates along with force allocation will be done. The pay scale of GD Constable is 21700 - 69100.

SSC GD Constable Result 2018

SSC GD Constable 2018 revised result for CBT has been announced on September 12, 2019. Candidates are able to check the revised result by downloading the result pdf. Previously, SSC has released the result of SSC GD Constable on June 21, 2019, in online mode. The result of SSC GD Constable 2018 is announced by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in three stages - CBE, Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and final. On the basis of SSC GD Constable result of CBE, candidates are called for PST/PET. PET/PST and medical examination is qualifying in nature. The final result along with force allocation will be declared by SSC based on the performance of candidates in the Computer Based Examination, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test and Detailed Medical Examination.

SSC GD Constable Cutoff 2018

The revised cut off of SSC GD Constable 2018 has been released along with the revised result. Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the CBE conducted by SSC are eligible for PET/PST. Candidates must score above the cut off marks fixed by the commission in Computer Based Test. The Commission shall have the discretion to fix different qualifying standards for candidates belonging to different categories in different states/UTs, taking into consideration vacancies allotted to each State/UT. The Commission thereafter will release the final merit list of candidates category-wise and state-wise. The minimum cut off percentage marks for selection normally is around 35% for General and Ex-servicemen and 33% for SC/ST/OBC. Candidates can check the state wise cut off of 2015 SSC GD Constable 2018 exam.

SSC GD Constable Admit Card 2018

CRPF has issued the admit card of SSC GD Constable 2018 for PET/PST on July 30, 2019. Candidates who have qualified the written exam can download their admit card for PET/PST by entering roll number and date of birth. Earlier, the admit card of SSC GD Constable 2018 was issued for Computer Based exam on February 4, 2019. PET, PST, DME/RME. Candidates who have applied online for SSC GD Constable exam has been issued admit card for Computer Based exam by SSC. Candidates have to carry at least one photo-identity proof and two passport size photographs to the examination centre along with the admit card.

SSC GD Constable Answer Key 2018

The final answer key of SSC GD Constable 2018 has been released by SSC on July 10, 2019. Candidates can download SSC GD Constable 2018 final answer key online for all sets of question booklet to check the correct answers. The result of the same was declared on June 20, 2019. Provisional answer key of SSC GD Constable was released on April 30, 2019. Candidates were able to raise objections from April 30 to May 5, 2019.

SSC GD Constable 2018 - What's New?

  • This year, only online applications will be accepted from all candidates.
  • Only Computer Based Exam will be conducted. There is no offline exam.
  • Aadhaar Card is mandatory to fill the application form.
  • Candidates are required to register afresh as their old User ID and password will be non-functional.
  • Application fee is Rs 100 which earlier was Rs 50.
  • The payscale has been revised to 21700 - 69100. Earlier, the pay scale was 5200-20200.
  • The CBE will be conducted first followed by PST/PET and medical examination.
  • Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be selected for PST/PET.

SSC GD Constable Application Form 2018

The application form of SSC GD Constable 2018 was released on August 17, 2018. The last date to apply for SSC GD Constable exam was September 30, 2018. However, the candidates were able to fill the application fee till October 3, 2018. Fee was Rs. 100 which was paid through SBI Challan/Net Banking/Credit/debit card. SC, ST and women are exempted from payment of fee. The correction window facility was also able from October 11 to 18, 2018 for the candidates to make changes in the application form of SSC GD Constable.

How to apply SSC GD Constable 2018?

Online - Candidates applying for SSC GD Constable 2018 online have to fill the application form in two parts.

  • Part 1 includes filling up of basic details like name, qualification, centre name etc.

  • Part 2 includes uploading of scanned image, Signature and filling of payment details.

Part 1 – Registration

  • Candidates applying for SSC GD Constable 2018 application must fill the basic details in the online application form like name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender etc.

  • After filling the basic details candidates need to submit the application form by clicking on “I Agree” button.

  • After the part 1 of registration process was submitted the registration number appeared on the screen. Candidates must note down the registration number for further use.

Part 2 – Registration

  • To start the part 2 registration process candidates need to submit the registration number and date of birth and pay the requisite amount, upload the scanned photograph and signature

  • Candidates need to pay Rs 100 either online or offline

  • In the last stage, candidates were required to upload latest colour passport size photograph and signature and take the print of application form

SSC GD Constable 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam of SSC GD Constable 2018 is divided into three parts - Physical Standards Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Computer Based Test, Medical Examination. The Computer Based Test comprises Objective Multiple Choice Type questions from four sections - General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi. There will be 100 questions carrying 100 marks. The computer based test will be conducted in English and HIndi only. Candidates can check detailed exam pattern below.

Medical Examination - In this stage the candidates have to undergo eye checkup, they must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein and squint in eyes. They must be in good mental and physical health to serve in high altitude and border areas.

SSC GD Constable 2018 Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates appearing in SSC GD Constable exam 2018 must carry a Photo ID such as Voter’s ID, Driving License, ID Cards issued by Government or other Offices where the candidates may be working

  • No candidate is allowed to enter into examination hall without having any photo ID proof

  • Use of mobile phone, calculator and other electronic gadgets and accessories is not permitted

  • Candidates who appear for online test must follow instructions on the computer screen

SSC GD Constable 2018 Selection Procedure

The recruitment process will consists of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination. Each stage of SSC GD Constable selection process is explained below.

Computer Based Exam (CBE) - The Commission will conduct Computer Based Exam for all candidates who have applied for the exam. The Computer Baed exam of SSC GD Constable consists of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates who qualifies the CBE will be called for PET/PST. As per official notice, candidates 10 times the total number of vacancies will be called for PET/PST.

Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - PET/PST will be conducted for candidates qualifying the CBE. This test includes biometric identification & screening of testimonials, chest and weight measurements and race of 1 Mile for male while it is 800 meters for females. Candidates qualifying PST/PET test will be called for medical examination.

Medical Examination - The medical examination of the selected candidates are done by the commission to check whether they have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein and squint in eyes. Candidates should be in good mental and physical health so that they can perform their duties in high altitude and border areas where the climatic conditions are extreme. Candidates will be shortlisted for medical examination from amongst the candidates who qualify PET/PST. At the time of medical examination, candidate's academic, domicile, caste certificate etc will be verified.
