About MPPSC State Services 2025

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission  will soon release the MPPSC State service 2025 notification on the official website, mppsc.mp.gov.in. The commission is going to conduct the MPPSC State Service exam 2025 of prelims on February 16, 2025. Candidates who meet the essential MPPSC State service exam eligibility criteria can apply for the exam.  MPPSC conducts the MPPSC State service exam every year to recruit  various personnel for the MP state government. 

Aspirants who fill the application form of MPPSC 2025 successfully will be issued the admit card. Only those candidates who clear the MPPSC State service prelims exam will be qualified to the mains exam. The number of candidates who appear for the main exam will be fifteen times more than the number of available vacancies. Successful candidates in mains exam will be invited to appear in the last stage of selection process, which is the interview.

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commision prescribes the eligibility criteria of MPPSC State Service examination. All aspirants need to fulfil the eligibility parameters prior to filling the form of MPPSC exam.

Eligibility Criteria of MPPSC State Service Exam -

  • A candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidates obtain a degree from any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other recognised educational institutions.
  • Candidates who have appeared in their final degree examination, awaiting results will also be eligible to appear in the preliminary examination. However, candidates who will qualify and get shortlisted by the Commission for taking the State Services (main) examination, will be required to produce compulsorily mark sheet/proof of passing the requisite examination along with their application form for the main examination. 
  • Aspirants with professional and technical qualifications, which are recognised by the State Government as equivalent to a professional or technical degree, would be eligible to take the examination as well.
  • Age Limit - A candidate must be at least 21 years to appear in the preliminary test but must not have attained the age of 40 years on the first of January, following the date of publication of the advertisement. However, the upper age limit for the permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh has been fixed at 45 years, formulated under certain conditions.
  • Candidates must be in good mental and physical health and free from any serious physical defects.

Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission will release the application form of MPPSC State Service examination on the official website.  All aspirants need to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the MPPSC State service exam 2025.

How to fill the MPPSC application form through MP Online?

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the tab 'Citizen Services'.
  • Click on MPPSC under the Application tab
  • After reading the instructions, click on Apply Online.
  • It is a must to read the agreement, select the check-box of 'I Agree' and click on Accept.
  • Duly fill the form, attach the photograph, as mentioned.
  • Click on submit.
  • The application number gets displayed; note the number and click on tab 'Payment', if any modification/correction needs to be made click on 'back'.
  • Select payment mode and click on 'Go.'
  • Payment can be made either by Credit Card (Master or Visa of any Bank) or Online Debit Facility i.e. Net banking or Debit Card (Only of SBI).
  • In case of a credit card, check the details and click on the tab 'Confirm Payment.'
  • Fill the required details and click on 'Pay.'
  • The reference number will be displayed, please note it down for future correspondence.

Application fee - Applicants belonging to the general/open categories need to pay Rs. 500 and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories will need to pay Rs. 250/- as MPPSC exam via online mode. Candidates can also choose to visit any designated online kiosk centres which will help in payment of the application fee.

The preliminary examination will comprise two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 450 marks. The detailed exam pattern of MPPSC exam is shown below-

The question papers will be of objective type (multiple choice question) and each question will have four probable answer choices grouped under A, B, C and D of which only one will be the correct answer. The candidate is required to mark in the answer book, only A, B, C or D as selected by test takers to be the correct answer.

All question papers except that of Engineering subjects will be in Hindi and English. Question paper in Engineering subjects will be composed in English language only.

MPPSC Mains

Only the MPPSC prelims qualified candidates will be permitted to appear in the main examination of MPPSC State Service examination. Unlike the preliminary exam, the main examination is composed of subjective questions. The mode of the MPPSC main exam is offline. Post examination, candidates will need to appear in the interview round which will carry 250 marks. This written examination is divided into two sections (compulsory & optional) and will consist of seven papers of essay type questions as stated below -

          MPPSC Prelims

          Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission will issue the MPPSC State Service exam admit card 2025 in online mode on the official website. It will be issued to the candidates who have successfully registered for the examination.  Candidates need to log in to the web account by entering the following information to download their MPPSC State service 2025 admit card-
