MPPSC Exam Pattern 2020 – Madhya Pradesh PSC released the exam pattern of MPPSC 2020 on its official website along with notification. MPPSC 2020 exam pattern provides information such as the number of papers, subjects, topics, the time duration of the exam, total marks, type of questions and marking scheme for each stage of the exam. As per MPPSC Exam Pattern 2020, the exam is conducted in three stages – Preliminary, Mains and Interview. The MPPSC prelims exam according to the exam pattern of MPPSC 2020 consists of two papers – General Studies and General Aptitude Test (GAT). MPPSC exam 2020 for mains stage will consist of six papers. Candidates securing minimum qualifying the preliminary stage will be called to appear for the Mains stage while those who qualify the Mains will be invited for the last round which is the Interview. MPPSC 2020 recruitment is conducted to shortlist candidates for various administrative posts in the state of Madhya Pradesh. MPPSC Exam Pattern 2020 - Preliminary Exam
The prelims exam of MPPSC 2020 comprises two papers – General Studies and General Aptitude Test (GAT). The MPPSC prelims exam will be conducted in offline mode and will have objective type questions. On the basis of marks scored by candidates in the preliminary exam they will be shortlisted to appear for the Mains exam and Interview. As per the MPPSC Exam Pattern 2020, the preliminary exam is qualifying in nature and marks scored by candidates in prelims will not be considered while preparing the merit list.

Only those candidates who secure a 40% minimum cut off in preliminary exam will be eligible to appear for the mains exam. In case candidates belong to SC/ST/OBC categories they will have to secure a minimum qualifying cut off of 30% in prelims exam.

Candidates will be awarded 2 marks for every correct response in the preliminary examination. However, there is no negative marking.
MPPSC 2020 Exam Pattern - Mains Examination
The MPPSC mains is a written exam which consists of only conventional type questions. According to the MPPSC 2020 exam pattern, there will be a total of 6 papers in the mains exam. The first four papers will be based on general studies while the fifth and sixth papers will be for the Hindi language – General Hindi and Hindi Essay Writing. Except for the Hindi language paper, all the other papers will be bilingual, that is, English and Hindi both. After the mains exam is conducted, the Commission will determine the minimum qualifying marks of the exam. Based on marks scored by candidates in the mains exam, they will be invited to appear for the Interview. After conducting the Interview, MPPSC will release a final merit list based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in Mains exam as well as the Interview. Nature of Questions in MPPSC 2020 Mains Exam
General Studies paper-2, paper-2 & paper-3 will have two sections and be of 150 marks each.
Individual answer sheets will be provided to each section of paper.
Each section will have 15 very short answers, 10 short answers and 3 long answers. Although the number of questions can be changed as per the requirement of the paper.
The Fourth paper in the mains exam will be of General Studies and will comprise of 15 short answers and 15 short comment answers and 1 or 2 case study answers. The number of questions might also change as per the necessity.
For 3 mark questions candidates will have to write 45 words, for 6 marks questions they will have to 100 words and for 15 marks question candidates will have to write approximately 300 words.
In the mains exam as well, candidates must secure 40% in each paper to qualify for the next stage of the selection process.
MPPSC prescribed the syllabus and mentioned it in its notification. The syllabus consists of all the important subjects, topics and sub-topics on which the question paper of MP PSC will be based on. Candidates who are preparing for the exam must know the syllabus for both the stages - preliminary and mains exam. They must prepare for the exam while going through syllabus so that they won't miss any major topics.

Applicants who want to qualify the exam should know MPPSC exam pattern in detail. This exam is conducted in three stages.
