The BPSC CSE is conducted in the state of Bihar to recruit candidates for various gazetted posts like Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jailer, Block Development Officer (BDO) etc in various state government departments. The academic qualification required to apply for BPSC is graduation.
The minimum age limit for candidates to apply is 20 (Deputy Superintendent of Police), 21 (Probation Officer).
The upper age limit is 37 years. There is an upper age limit for candidates who belong to reserved categories.
There is no restriction on the number of attempts for BPSC as long as candidates fulfil the age limit criteria.
For government employees who are in continuous service for at least three years, the number of attempts is 3, while the relaxation in the upper age limit is 5 years.
The upper age limit for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) is 10 years.
Ex-servicemen not above 53 years of age, can avail of BPSC age relaxation of three years.
