Hello,
According to the official notification regarding the eligibility criteria, the candidate must have 50% in their undergraduate degree, it could be BA, BCom, BSc, BEd depending upon the field you choose as a TGT or JBT. Since, you scored 49.9%, you are not eligible to apply. Although there is no upper age limit, you need to satisfy all of the eligibility criteria.

For HP TET a minimum of 45% aggregate is required for all who have graduated before 2010..
So you can appear in HP TET TGT...
But for JBT minimum of 50% aggregate and 2 year JBT certificate is also required.
So in my opinion you can't appear for HP TET JBT...

Yes there is relaxation present for reserved category in HP TET i.e. general category candidates need to score at least 60% i.e 90 marks to qualify HPTET whereas reserved categories need a minimum of 50% or 45% to qualify the exam.

That is in terms of Marks, that is 90 to qualify HPTET
