    About MPPSC SFS Exam 2026

    Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission released the MPPSC SFS 2026 application form on January 10, 2026 on the official website, mppsc.mp.gov.in. Candidates can submit the MPPSC SFS application form until February 9, 2026. The MPPSC SFS notification was released on December 31, 2025. The MPPSC SFS prelims exam 2026 is going to be conducted on April 26, 2026. Only the candidates who fulfil the MPPSC SFS 2026 eligibility criteria can fill the application form. 

    MPPSC conducts the Madhya Pradesh Forest Service exam. There are five different exams for MP Forest Services viz., 1) Preliminary Exam, 2) Main Exam, 3) Physical Efficiency Test, 4) Physical Measurement Test and 5) Interview. Candidates are required to clear all the stages. MP Forest Services exams are held in both Hindi and English. Preliminary and Main question papers will further have 2 papers each. MP Forest Services Prelims exam will only be a qualifying exam and marks will only be taken from the Main exam and Interview, which will weigh 400 and 50, respectively.

    Applications for the exam have been released online from January 10 to February 9, 2026. To apply for MP Forest Services, follow the steps given below for reference purposes only:

    Step 3: When the new page opens, search for MP Forest Services and click on ‘Click here to register’.

    Step 4: Enter your details such as basic information, mandatory educational details, personal details and such.

    Step 5: Upload all the necessary documents such as SSC certificate, UG certificate etc.

    Step 6: Click on submit.

    Step 7: To pay the fees, click on ‘Pay unpaid fees’ right under ‘click here to apply online’.

    MPPSC issues the minimum requirements an applicant needs to fulfil to be eligible for the MP Forest Services exam. Eligibility criteria for the exam is given below:

    Educational qualifications for Assistant Conservator of Forest:

    Graduation or equivalent in Science or Engineering from a recognised college or university. For applicants who pursued studies abroad, they must have had one of the following subjects, viz., Life Sciences, Geography or Chemistry during their graduation or equivalent course from a recognised college/university.

    Training for Assistant Conservator of Forest:

    Two years of Diploma from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun or other equivalent govt. recognised institute.

    Educational qualifications for Forest Ranger:

    Candidate must have graduation in Science, Technology, Agriculture or Forestry or equivalent to graduation from a recognised college or university. For applicants who pursued their studies from recognised foreign universities/colleges, need to have at least have one of the following subjects: Geography, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Botany, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, Forestry, Agriculture, Horticulture or Technology (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemistry or Computer). 

    Training for Forest Ranger:

    One and a half years from Forest Ranger Training Institute anywhere in India.

    • Assistant Forest Conservator: Candidates should be between 21 years to 40 years of age.
    • Forest Ranger:  Candidates should be between 21 years to 33 years of age.

    Other criteria: 

    • Applicant must not have committed any crimes against women and if charged with such allegation, should have been proven in right by the court of law.

    • An applicant who has more than 2 children out of which one was born on January 26, 2002, or after that will not be eligible for the post.

    • An applicant who has one living child born before January 26, 2002 and another one on the way are also not eligible for the post.

              The rigorous selection process of the MP Forest Services exam will contain the following five steps:

              1) MP Forest Services prelims exam, an OMR sheet based exam which acts as a screening test. Only 15% of the total aspirants move further from this step.

              2) MP Forest Services main exam, applicants must have qualified prelims to be eligible for this stage. This exam is for 400 marks.

              3) Physical Efficiency Test.

              4) Physical Measurement Test and medical inspection.

              5) Interview for 50 marks. Aspirants are given marks for the Main and Interview exam, out of a total score of 450 only.
