NIACL AO Mains Exam Pattern 2023

NIACL AO Mains exam has tw separate sections- objective and descriptive. Candidates must pass both sections in order to move on to the next round. The exam duration is 2.5 hours in total, with the bjective part having duration of 2 hours and the descriptive section is of 30 minutes. There are a total of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) having Reasoning Ability, English Language, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude, each carrying 50 marks. In objective section, a penalty of 1/4 of a mark will be imposed for each incorrect response.

NIACL AO Mains Exam Pattern 2023: Descriptive Section

The NIACL AO mains test has a descriptive section that will be conducted in online mode only. The duration of the test is 30 minutes and the total marks for this section are also 30. It has two parts namely,

  • Letter writing- 10 marks

  • Essay writing- 20 marks

NIACL AO Interview Round 2023

The candidates who qualify the NIACL AO mains exam will receive calls for the interview phase. The designated NIACL AO exam centres will conduct the NIACL AO Interview. Based on how each candidate performs in the NIACL mainS round and the interview, a final decision will be made. The weightage of the main exam and the interview will be 75:25 in order to prepare the merit list.
