The score of APPSC AEE is calculated on the basis of total marks secured in all three papers of the written test. To calculate the probable score in the exam, candidates must use the following formula.
Total Score = Number of correct answers in Paper 1 x 1 + Total correct answers in Paper 2 x 1 + Total correct answers in Paper 3 x 1
The screening test is conducted by the Commission if the number of candidates applying for the exam exceeds 25,000. The exam was held in the offline mode and consists of only one paper. The paper comprises two parts - A and B. Part A consists of 50 questions while Part B contains 100 questions. The test comprises conventional type questions. The test is qualifying in nature and marks secured in the exam is not considered while preparing the final result list. Based on marks obtained in the test, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for the online exam.
Andhra Pradesh PSC will conduct the computer-based test to recruit candidates as Assistant Executive Engineers under Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. As per APPSC AEE exam pattern, the test will be held for 450 marks. The mains exam will consist of three papers - 1, 2 and 3. Each paper will be conducted for 150 marks. The conducting body will prescribe minimum qualifying cut off for all papers. Candidates must appear for all three papers of the online examination. Failing to appear in any of the paper of the exam will lead to cancellation of candidature and therefore lead to ineligibility of candidates for recruitment to selected posts. On the basis of combined score secured in Paper 1, 2 and 3, candidates will be shortlisted to appear for Document Verification after which candidates will be recruited for Assistant Executive Engineers posts.
The ranks of candidates securing equal number of marks in the mains examination will be allotted on the basis of their age, that is, the older candidates will be ranked higher in the merit list. In case, candidates are of the same age, then the candidate acquiring the education qualification at an earlier date will be placed higher in rank in the merit list. Therefore, the chances of older candidates, having same marks as younger candidates, being selected for subsequent stages of the recruitment process are higher as candidates with better ranks are more likely to get selected for the next stage of the exam.
Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts screening test and computer-based test to shortlist eligible candidates for recruitment to various Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) posts. As per marks obtained in the three papers of the online test, candidates will be called for Document Verification.
