Can we practice medicine in AIIMS after getting MBBS degree without getting enrolled in PG courses so that we can prepare and give IAS exam ?

anirudha vats 11th Apr, 2021

Hey,

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is an undergraduate degree of about five years duration.  It's not mandatory that you need to do your further studies if you want to practice.

People do further post graduation to gain specialisation in the relevant medical field as MBBS only gives you general degree and not specialised degree.

If AIIMS vacancy mentions that only MBBS candidate can apply you are good to go but if it mentions or requires a post graduate degree sorry to say.

The eligibility will depend upon the post for which allocation is needed.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

HI Aspirant!

Yes definitely, coaching centres also teach NCERT books as the NCERT books of 9th to 12th class plays a vital role in the prelims round of UPSC exam. With NCERT books they also cover the standard books as these books have more question content and are written from the ground up. They form the foundation of your knowledge. Coaching centres also provide their coaching notes, they are helpful in revision before the exam.

which place I should go in North-east in india after 10 to complete ias course

pdwords Student Expert 6th Apr, 2021

Hello,

First of all in order to appear for UPSC, candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized board, there is no specific aggregate required in this case, you need to be 21 years old and can appear even in the final year of graduation, now you're only in 10th and there is long way to go before completing graduation, as I told there is no such barrier of belonging to any specific stream when it comes to appearing for UPSC, and regarding coaching classes there are many, in fact some of the top coaching classes also offers courses related to UPSC Civil Service Exam in online mode, there might be colleges which offer preparation help regarding this civil service exam, but there is no such college which offers IAS degree, because to qualify IAS you need to be in top merit list of UPSC, and if you belong to UR then within 100, so that's a long process ahead, but if you're wholly and solely focused on this career, it helps if you belong to humanities stream as UPSC exam is more humanities oriented in terms of the content of the subject, other than this if you wish to pursue other professional or general degree, that also fine, many people from diverse background qualify this exam, and you too can surely.

chinchujoseph1993 31st Mar, 2021

Hello,

To become an IAS officer there is no single course that you have to do. You need to have completed you graduation. So Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a reputed university. After this you need to qualify the Union Public Service Commission Civil Services Exam. The exam itself is structured into three parts – the Preliminary (Civil Services Aptitude Test – CSAT), Main Exam, and finally the Interview.

So first complete your graduation and in the meantime read more about the eligibilty criteria like the number of attempts, age limit, etc.

I  have shared a link with you below where you can read about the eligibility criteria: https://competition.careers360.com/articles/upsc-ias-eligibility-criteria#IAS-Eligibility-Criteria-2021--Educational-Qualification

Inculcate the habit of reading the daily newspaper and keep yourself aware of  latest happenings in the country and the world.

Work on your interpersonal skills and communication skills. Your personality is tested during the interview.

Good Luck

Hello Dear,

According to the democratic system of government, people's representatives are more powerful than these officers. IAS and IPS services is a part of the prestigious Indian Civil services. The job profile of both these are very broad and both are posted on powerful posts, but IAS is more powerful as a DM. An IPS has only the responsibility of its department, but an IAS (DM) has the responsibility of all the departments of the district. First of all work hard for the examination power comes with the post to change the society.
