UPSC exam pattern for IAS is conducted in three stages. To become an IAS, you have to pass all the stages with higher ranks.
PRELIMS:
Paper 1: consist of history, geography, political science, economics and current affairs. This paper carries 200 marks.
Paper 2: Consist of 200 marks. The major syllabus for this paper is English comprehension, communication skills, logical reasoning, general mental ability, problem solving skills, basic mathematics (Class 10 level)
MAINS:
After securing a qualifying rank in PRELIMS, you would be called for MAINS.
Qualifying Paper: This is just a qualifying paper of 300+300 marks and it is not credited in the merit rank. This paper is to test the writing capacity of the aspirants in English and any regional language. Only 33% marks is enough for qualify this paper
Paper 1: Essay writing (250 marks)
Paper 2: GS1 Consists of History, Geography, Indian Heritage and culture, women empowerment.
Paper 3: GS2 Consist of Governance, Constitution, Social justice, polity, international relations
Paper 4: GS3 Technology, Economy, Bio-diversity, Environmental issues, disaster management
Paper 5: GS4 Case studies on ethics and human interface, moral and political attitude, Aptitude for Civil services, emotional intelligence.
Paper 6: Consist of Optional paper 1 and 2, each of 250 marks. Optional paper 1 tests for the subject of your interest, which may or may not be your graduation subject. Optional paper 2 tests for grammar and literature of any regional language.
MAINS constitute 1750 marks for the six papers. A qualifying rank will call you for the interview, which again constitute 275 marks.

See, You have ample of time. Just complete your 12th, enjoy your graduation, and in final year start preparing for UPSC-CSE.
As of now do nothing, focus on your 12th and 11th. Just make a habit of Reading newspapers.
Newspapers are vital for any preparation strategy. You should spend atleast 1 hour daily reading the newspaper. It helps one cement the concepts and helps you evolve opinions and will help you analyse a given situation from multiple perspectives.

The last date for filling the application is 10th July 2019 upto 5:00 pm.
The date of the entrance test is 4th August 2019(10:00 am to 1:00pm).
The tentative date for declaration of results is 25th August 2019.

Dear Jisle Mariya,Yes, you can pursue biomedical engineering. To become eligible for for the UPSC exam you must have completed graduation from any recognized university. It does not matter which stream you have completed your graduation, therefore you can apply for UPSC after your graduation.The eligibility criteria candidates should be between 21 and 32 years of age as on August 1, 2019 i.e.., they should not have been born earlier than August 2, 1987 and not later than August 1,1998. Dear Khushi, I glad to guide you because as per your point of interest and your marks which you get in your curriculum is impressive. Dear, there is no need to drop one year for shake of cracking IIT, if you are that much clear about your dream that is becoming IAS then why you want to waste your one year you can do simple B.Tech side by side you just prepared for IAS or you can do graduation from Arts background if you want that will help you in your preparation.

First of all congratulations, and yes you can come to Delhi for Civil Services coaching but before that, you must know the UPSC Civil Services Eligibility Criteria. As per the eligibility criteria, you must have completed your graduation degree from a recognized university/institution by the Government of India. Also, you must be between 21 to 32 years of age in order to apply for the UPSC Civil Services exam (I.A.S).
Hi there,Hope you are doing well.Since you are currently in class 11th.So, you are currently not eligible for any NDA or IAS Exam.For NDA, the minimum requirement is 12th Studying with an age between 16.5-19.5.For IAS i.e. UPSC, you should have a graduation degree with an upper age limit of 32 for General, 35 for OBC and 37 for SC/ST Category students.Hope it would help.Thank You.
