I don't think so that getting 50% will make you eligible for NET. My brother is doing its preparation for NET and he is in final year of his master's as per my knowledge, a candidate must have atleast 65% aggregate in his master's from any recognised university.

The syllabus of UGC NET 2018 includes topics - General Ability, General Awareness, Comprehension and divergent thinking.
