Special class railway apprentice is 17 times more tougher than getting admissions through cracking jee because the selection percentile is about 0.04% which is really very very hard to achieve. I would better suggest you to go for jee preperation rather than scra unless you are strongly determined to crack it.

The scra is one of the most valuable exam conducted by upsc to give jobs in especial departments of railways.

I  don't know you are aware of this fact or not, but since 2015 this exam is in very ups and downs mean it got cancelled or postponded many times.

And, again this happens with scra 2019. Yes, the scra 2019 exam is get cancelled right now.

First the dates are released and said that it will be conducted on 20th July and results will be out on 20th August.

But now if you check the official website of upsc for scra exam you will find that the dates are vanished and it's written that the exam got cancelled.

It is hoped that soon upsc will release some new dates for the scra as if not then many aspirants will get disheartened.

I will suggest you to keep an eye on the website daily to get the right updates.

The applications form for.UPSC SCRA was released on 22 February 2019 and last date to fill the form was 18 March 2019. You may apply next time.

Dear aspirant, 

Yeah.Nativity certificate is necessary for every candidate even candidates inside kerala for proving their nationality.It is to be produced before the entrance commissioner and is to be uploaded at the time of keam registration.For proving nationality any of the given below can be used.

Birth certificate

SSLC certificate(It can be used only if your place of birth is there in it)

OR digitally signed Nativity certificate from Akshaya

Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) was conducted by Union Public Service Commission to train candidates in the undergraduate programme in mechanical engineering at the Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Jamalpur. The exam has been discontinued by UPSC now. At present there is no entrance exam for SCRA, candidates can become technical officer in Indian Railways by clearing the Engineering Services exam.

Hi candidate, SCRA will be conducted on its scheduled date. For 2019 SCRA Will be conducted in july. Paper will be of 600 marks, and 6 hrs are allowed to give test.
