Hi Ajay,
The scra is one of the most valuable exam conducted by upsc to give jobs in especial departments of railways.
I don't know you are aware of this fact or not, but since 2015 this exam is in very ups and downs mean it got cancelled or postponded many times.
And, again this happens with scra 2019. Yes, the scra 2019 exam is get cancelled right now.
First the dates are released and said that it will be conducted on 20th July and results will be out on 20th August.
But now if you check the official website of upsc for scra exam you will find that the dates are vanished and it's written that the exam got cancelled.
It is hoped that soon upsc will release some new dates for the scra as if not then many aspirants will get disheartened.
I will suggest you to keep an eye on the website daily to get the right updates.
Good luck.
Hello Bindeshwar,
The SCRA exam is one of the most technical exam in india and maybe tougher than JEE Advanced based on no. of seats and the examination pattern though one needs to have a General awareness around him and about the world but there isn't a specific need to have a study of General Knowledge as Required in exams like SSC ,its basic Requirement can be fulfilled and understood by giving mock tests and solving the previous year's question paper and one can easily understand the radius of topic coverage and amount of study required for clearing the exam based on previous years papers and mock tests.
I hope this solves the query
Best Wishes
