I want to study Masters in USA so I decided to take loan of 20lakhs in sbi... So could I repay loan within time by doing part-time work

Priyaanka Sarkar Student Expert 18th Aug, 2019
Dear Divya, if you plan to go to USA on a student visa, you get to work only part time and for a specific period of hours in a week and not beyond that. And Banks allow you to pay only the interest amount until you finish the course and get a job. Post that, you also need to take care of the Principal and the Interest towards your student loan. Your student visa allows you to work for 20 hours in a week in the campus and upto 40 hours a week during break periods. And during the 1st year, you cannot accept any off campus work which means your opportunities are limited. And so will be your income. So the first year what you earn might be sufficient to take care of your own bills because you still need to figure out a way to spend smart and save even smarter. To be honest, with part time it is unlikely that you can pay off the whole loan. You can do it once you get a full time job post your Masters. And whether you can repay it on time or not depends on how much you pay towards the student loan. If your loan is a floating interest type, as and when you pay towards the Principal, the interest is added only towards the remaining principal. If your loan is a fixed interest loan, you will continue to pay the same interest no matter what might be your Principal. So this is something that you need to consider before taking a loan for that huge amount.

Preparation tips for scra exam during graduation ,its benfit

deepika bala Student Expert 30th Jun, 2019

dear aspirant,

Start with Social Science subjects. I would suggest you to go through History, Civics and Geography books of 6th, 7th and 8th standard. You don't need to go through every detail, but a quick revision would definitely give you an edge over others. I prepared for NTSE and hence it was easy for me to revise these subjects.Next revise the PCM subjects. The questions are not really hard, but you will need to solve them quickly, and not spend much time on the ones you are stuck at. The number of questions, especially in Mathematics section, could be overwhelming. Finally, brush up you knowledge in current affairs. It will not only help you through the written test but also during the interviews.

hope it helped.

Like scra exam tell me other exam like this ,also how can prepare them

Divyanshi Saxena Student Expert 29th Jun, 2019

dear aspirant,

If you wish to get designated posts like SCRA, then you may try exams like:

Civil Services Exam

IRS Exam

SSC Exam

#1: Take your NCERT Text Books seriously

#2: For Math, Physics and Chemistry use the same book you use for IIT JEE preparation.

#3: For improving English read some of the newspaper daily.

#4: Always go through the previous papers conducted by SCRA. You will get an idea how questions are formulated.

#5: You also have to develop a personality so that you can clear the interview so don’t neglect co curricular activates in your school.

#6: Finally learn to manage your time because you will be preparing for so many exams at one given time.

Best of Luck!

Which is more difficult scra or jee main, best for female

Deepanshi Verma Student Expert 20th Jun, 2019

Special class railway apprentice is 17 times more tougher than getting admissions through cracking jee because the selection percentile is about 0.04% which is really very very hard to achieve. I would better suggest you to go for jee preperation rather than scra unless you are strongly determined to crack it.

Scra exam 2019 kab hoga,Give me full details of this exam

Shruti Jha Student Expert 15th Jun, 2019

Hi Ajay,

The scra is one of the most valuable exam conducted by upsc to give jobs in especial departments of railways.

I  don't know you are aware of this fact or not, but since 2015 this exam is in very ups and downs mean it got cancelled or postponded many times.

And, again this happens with scra 2019. Yes, the scra 2019 exam is get cancelled right now.

First the dates are released and said that it will be conducted on 20th July and results will be out on 20th August.

But now if you check the official website of upsc for scra exam you will find that the dates are vanished and it's written that the exam got cancelled.

It is hoped that soon upsc will release some new dates for the scra as if not then many aspirants will get disheartened.

I will suggest you to keep an eye on the website daily to get the right updates.

Good luck.
