my birth date is 1 july, 2002, am i eligible for AFCAT 1 2022 ?

Hi aspirant,

According to the AFCAT eligibility criteria, unmarried candidates who are aged between 20 to 24 years can apply for AFCAT examination. So following that you would be eligible to appear for the examination in year 2022 as you will be 20 years old by the 31st December of that year. Can I appear for the CDS or AFCAT to join in AFA after passing out in NDA if you have got admission in IMA or INA in the NDA?

Hi,

The CDS Exam is conducted for recruitment to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officer Training Academy (OTA). Candidates can apply for CDS, but make sure you are completing your degree before the date of joining.

You are currently in your third year of graduation in chemical engineering. Any student of any engineering branch can appear for CDS exam. ... You can appear for CDS when you are in your final year if the degree, that means if you are in a program of 4 years then you can give paper from 7th semester.

i have eye sight like this LE - 1.5 and RE -3.0 , am i eligible for afcat non tech????, which limit is +-3.5 for both eyes or single eyes

Dear aspirant !

Hope you are doing great ! Sorry to say that but you will not be eligible to apply for the post as your right eye is too weak .-3.0 which is not allowed neither in afcat nor other defence posts but do not disappoint ,there will many opportunities further in your life which are waiting for you.

Hope you are doing great ! Sorry to say that but there is not any other option to give exam ,there is only English ,so who want to give this exam in hindi can't give because English is necessary thing required for this post .but there are many opportunities in your life ,focus on them .

To be eligible to apply for AFCAT Ground Duty Technical you must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics with minimum 50% aggregate marks and must have passed a minimum of four year graduation / integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering / Technology from recognized university or Cleared Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Cleared Section A and B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies
With a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines

  • Communication Engineering
  • Computer Engineering / Technology
  • Computer Engineering & Application
  • Computer Science and Engineering / Technology
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering

As you are not Engineering Graduate you are not eligible to apply for AFCAT Ground Duty. However, you can apply for AFCAT Flying Branch and Ground Duty Non-Technical. And there is no specific requirement to Study Chemistry or Computer in B.Sc. SO you can take up any subject in B.Sc of your choice. Hello,

Candidates who are pursuing 3 year or 4 year Bachelor's Degree from recognized Open University are eligible to apply for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Combined Defence Service (CDS) Entrance Examination. You will be eligible to apply for Flying Branch and Ground Duty Non-Technical through AFCAT and through Combined Defence Service you will be eligible to select Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy if you are male candidate. If you are female candidate then you will be eligible to select Officers Training Academy. Candidates who are in the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for AFCAT and CDS provisionally if they fulfill the eligibility criteria.

hi, i have nearsightedness, with -0.5 in one eye and -0.75 for another eye. Am I eligible for AfCAT flying?

Hello student ,

Here are the eligibility criteria related to eyesight for AFCAT flying

  • For Vision Minimum Visual Acuity should be 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other, correctable to 6/6 only for hypermetropia and Manifest Myopia should be nil.
  • LASIK Surgery for correction of vision is admissible in Transport and Helicopter streams of Short Service Commission (Flying Branch) if the following conditions are fulfilled at the time of Air Force medical examination.
  • LASIK Surgery should not have been carried out before the age of 20 years.
  • The axial length of the eye should not be more than 25.5 mm as by IOL master
  • At least twelve months should have lapsed post uncomplicate stable LASIK. No history or evidence of any complication
  • The post LASIK corneal thickness as measured by a corneal pachymeter should not be less than 450 microns
  • Individuals with high refractive errors (>6D) prior to LASIK are to be excluded. Candidates must not suffer from colour or night blindness.

For myopia the power must not be more than -1.5D
