Hello Aspirant
It's highly unlikely that having an extra thumb would disqualify you from the CDS medical exam.
The primary focus of the medical examination is to assess your overall physical and mental fitness for the rigors of military training and service. Conditions that would significantly impair your ability to perform your duties are grounds for disqualification.
However, it's crucial to consult with a medical expert or the official CDS medical board for definitive guidance. They can provide specific information based on the latest medical standards and guidelines for the armed forces.
Yes, you can give the CDS exam after completing a BJMC course, provided you meet the other eligibility criteria set by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which conducts the exam. A candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university. Your BJMC degree fulfills this requirement. A BJMC degree might not provide a direct advantage in the CDS exam content, which focuses on mathematics, science, general knowledge, and military aptitude. However, the communication and analytical skills you develop during your BJMC program can be beneficial for aspects like the interview stage. https://media.careers360.com/articles/ipu-cet-bjmc I hope it helps!
The eligibility criteria for NDA and CDS medical exams can vary slightly, but generally, a normal bend in the left middle finger should not be a significant issue.
However, it's essential to consult with the official medical boards or authorities responsible for conducting the medical examinations for NDA and CDS. They will have specific guidelines regarding physical fitness and medical standards that need to be met.
You must provide your OBC certificate—more especially, the OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate—during counseling, not the actual CDS test, in order to take it . To receive the benefits of reservations, this certificate is required.
