Yes of course you can apply for UPSC CDS exam being an arts graduate with any graduation degree you are eligible for cds and upsc exam but there some posts and departments that need only specialized stream graduate like in cds Navy only B.Tech graduates are eligible etc.

Age Limit for Indian Military Academy\ Indian Navy Army\Officers’ Training Academy is - Male applicants must be unmarried and have a birthdate between January 1, 2004, and January 1, 1999, respectively.

Since your date of birth is 1/10/1998, you are unfortunately not eligible to appear for the CDS (OTA) 1 to be held in 2023 according to the guidelines.

See you will only be eligible for CDS 1 2023 examination if you would have got your marksheet of 5th sem. by the time of application and at the time of application you must be in your 6th semester which will be the last semester for your course and as per the current eligibility criteria, candidates studying in final year/semester are eligible to apply for CDS examination provided they don't have any active backlog till the date of application. And the degree program must get completed before admission because you will have to submit proof of passing the degree examination at the time of commencement of course to reach the IHQ of MoD (Army) .

However as per the tentative dates it is expected that application process for CDS 1 2023 would commence by December 2022 so by this time you must not have completed your 5th semester so you will not be eligible for CDS 1 2023.

Eligibility criteria for all the courses is described below along wth the age criteria :-

**Indian Military Academy - Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University or equivalent institute

**Indian Naval Academy - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/ College

Yes you are eligible -

An Unmarried male who is born between January 1994 to January 1998 ( aged between 20 to 24 years as on January 2023) is eligible to apply for the CDS 2023 Examination for gaining entry into the Indian Air Force Academy.

The Indian Military applies the age limit as 19 to 24 years as of January 2023.

For the Officers, Training Academy, unmarried or widowed male/female candidates must not be older than 25 years and younger than 19 years of age, as in January 2023.

For the CDS II examination, the candidate must be born between July 1997 to July 2002.

The educational qualifications required for, candidates interested in the Indian Military and the Air Force is a degree (10+2) from any recognized university.

For the Indian Navy, an engineering degree from a recognized university is sought.

For age, relaxation norms refer to the notifications for the CDS I and II examinations.
