Hey there!
As per the Union public service commission, the candidates should meet the eligibility requirements to apply for CDS exam. It is conducted twice in a year.
Your D.O.B. is 17-10-1998, so, your age as on January 2023 would be 24 years and 3 months.
Following are the age limit to appear for CDS exam:
I'm not considering the date of exam, but if your age criteria fulfils the above mentioned age limit, then you are eligible for CDS 1 2023 in the respective fields.

Hi student,
Firstly there is no limit on the number of attempts for CDS (OTA). Secondly, there is a requirement that your degree must have been completed when you'll be commencing your CDA (OTA)'s course. Meanwhile, you can apply for the exam while in the final year of your graduation.
The age limit for your course, that is, CDS (OTA) is 19-25 years, inclusive of both. Also, it conducts 2 exams per year.
So according to this, you can apply in your final year, two times a year and even after finishing your degree, you will be still left with 2 more attempts as per your age limit.
In totality, you have 2 attempts till 2026, but you can still pull up to 2 more attempts because of your age.
Hope this helped.
Yes, you are eligible for CDS 1 & 2 examinations that will be conducted in the month of April( CDS 1). Although there are other eligibility criteria as well that you should know such as:
1. You should be Indian
2. You should be unmarried and aged between 20-24
3. You should also hold a graduation degree.
Hello,
If you want to further your career by passing the CDS test, the BA will be a better choice than the BCom.
Due to the fact that UPSC organises three distinct tests.
EXAM-I Elementary mathematics ; EXAM-II English ; EXAM-III General studies
Therefore, if you choose to pursue a BA as your degree, you will benefit from the opportunity to study for your third test concurrently with graduation.
However, you should pick your exam subjects carefully because sociology and other topics won't help you reach your goals.
I assure you that the CDS's general knowledge questions are challenging.
Thank You

Hello User,
Hope you are doing well.
Specifically there is no requirement of choosing any particular subject for CDS in graduation Beacuse it is conducted by UPSC so you need to have all your basics till 12th clear . Afterall you need to focus on all the subjects equally in order to clear the exam. Maths and english should be given more emphasis for CDS exams because these two subjects have more weightage.
As per me the best graduation stream can be arts.
The paper consist of 3 parts.
English (easy)
General knowledge (tough) and
Maths (moderate needs fast calculation speed)
And the subjects you can choose to study should be:-
