LIC AAO 2020 exam for prelims stage was held on April 4 while the mains exam date has not been announced yet. The LIC Assistant 2020 exam is expected to be held in November 2020 will the test of LIC ADO will be held in July tentatively.

What is an LIC Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO)?

LIC AAO exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer (Legal/IT/Chartered Accountant/Actuarial/Rajbhasha). As per LIC AAO election process, the test is held in three stages - prelims, mains, and interview. Candidates clearing all the stages of exams are considered qualified. Candidates between the age of 21 to 30 years can apply for the LIC AAO exam.

What is an LIC Apprentice Development Officer (ADO)?

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) conducts the LIC ADO exam to recruit candidates from Agents & Employee Categories. The test is held in online mode in three stages - prelims, mains and interview. The online exam of LIC ADO Prelims is conducted for three papers - paper I, II, and III. Paper I includes Reasoning Ability, Paper II includes Numerical Ability while Paper III combines English Language. The final selection will be done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the mains and interview round.

What is an LIC Assistant?

LIC conducts the LIC recruitment for the post of Assistant in three stages - prelims, mains and interview. Through this recruitment of LIC, the candidates are absorbed in the LIC’s Clerical cadre. The test is conducted in two stages - prelims and mains wherein prelims exam is conducted for 100 while mains exam is held for a total of 200 marks.

LIC Recruitment Exam Pattern

Before starting off with the preparations, candidates must go through the LIC Recruitment exam pattern as per their respective post preference. The exam pattern will contain the sections from where the questions will be asked, total number of questions, marking scheme, duration etc. By going through the exam pattern, candidates will get an overall idea of the paper pattern and they can plan their preparation accordingly.

Candidates successfully filling the application form within the allotted the time will be issued the admit card. Candidates will be able to download the admit card form the official website by using their respective registration/roll number and date of birth/password. The admit card will contain the candidates and the exam details like name, registration number, roll number, date of birth, name of the exam, date and time of the exam, exam centre details etc. Candidates must carry the admit card of LIC recruitment to the exam centre on the day of exam along with one of the prescribed photo ID proofs - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card.

The authorities will announce the result of lIC recruitment for each stage zone wise. The result will be announced in the form of a PDF containing the roll number of all the qualified candidates. Candidates securing the minimum cut off scores as per their categories will be considered qualified. Along with the result, the authorities will also release the marks of the candidates in the form of login. Candidates will be able to download their mark sheet by using their login credentials.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is the salary scale of LIC AAO?

Candidates qualifying as AAO will get the salary as per the  LIC AAO salary scale. The salary of Rs. 32795/- per month will be given to the LIC AAO qualified candidates in the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315 and other admissible allowances.

2. Will there be any negative marking in the LIC AAO?

Yes, marks will be deducted for each wrong answer given by the candidate. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks i.e 1/4th marks will be deducted.

3. Do I need to secure the sectional cutoff in the prelims exam of LIC Assistant?

Yes, you must secure both sectional and overall cut off of LIC Assistant to pass in the prelims stage and qualify for the mains exam.

4. What is the lower age limit for appearing in the LIC ADO exam?

You must not be less than 21 years of age at the time of applying for the test.
