IB Security Assistant Exam 2025 - Application Form (Released), Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus, Admit Card, Result

IB Security Assistant(Executive) - Age Limit

The maximum age limit to apply for IB Security Assistant(Executive) is 27 years. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will get upper age relaxation.

• Candidates who wish to apply for IB Security Assistant(Executive) must have completed and passed class 10th or equivalent from a recognized school board.

• Also, candidates should know any one of the local languages (read, write and speak) of any region they are applying for and the languages are prescribed by the exam conducting body.

IB Security Assistant(Executive) - Experience

Candidates who have field experience in the Intelligence department or work are also eligible to apply for IB Security Assistant(Executive).

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria of IB Security Assistant(Executive) can fill up the application form in online mode from July 26 to August 17, 2025. While filling the application form, candidates must be careful when entering the details as any wrong information might lead to cancellation of candidature. 

The application form has to fill in two parts - Part - I and Part - II. Candidates have to upload their photograph and signature also while completing their registration process. The steps to fill the application form is mentioned below -

Step 1: Registration: Candidates have to complete the registration process by entering their name, email ID and contact number. They also have to upload photograph and signature as per the prescribed specification while doing their registration. After completing the registration process, a registration number and password is generated. Candidates are advised to note down the generated ID and password for future reference.

Candidates have to upload their photograph and signature together. They need to sign below the photograph and upload the file. Also, the file must not exceed the size of 50kb and it must be in the format of JPG or JPEG. 

Step 2: Part I - In this part, candidates have to fill in their personal, academic & other details like address, experience in the online form of IB Security Assistant(Executive).

Step 3: Part II - After filling up all the details, they must go through the application form in order to avoid any error. Payment can be made using bank challan (offline) or Debit/Credit Card, Internet Banking (Online). While paying the fee online, candidates have to provide their registration number and date of birth. The application fee for General and OBC male candidate is Rs. 50 while candidates belonging to SC/ST category, Ex-servicemen & female candidates does not have to pay the application fee.

Step 4: After completing all process, candidates are required to take a printout of the application form and fee receipt of IB Security Assistant(Executive) for any future reference.

Intelligence Bureau Ministry of Home Affairs prescribed the exam pattern of IB Security Assistant(Executive) for Tier - I and Tier - II. With the help of exam pattern, candidates can know about the exam related details like the nature of questions, mode of exam, time duration and marking scheme. As per the IB Security Assistant(Executive) exam pattern, 1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. It is essential for the candidates to go through the exam pattern of IB Security Assistant(Executive) in order to start preparing for the exam.

Tier - I exam of IB Security Assistant(Executive) has 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The test is conducted for 100 marks and candidates are required to complete the test within one hour.

In this stage, the questions are of descriptive type. Candidates have to complete the test within one hour.

Candidates who successfully submit the application form of IB Security Assistant(Executive) can download the admit card till the date of examination. The IB Security Assistant(Executive) admit card is available will be online mode and candidates can download it by using their registration number and date of birth in the login window. 

Candidates qualifying the tier - I exam can download the admit card for IB Security Assistant(Executive) for tier - II. The IB Security Assistant(Executive) Admit Card for tier - II have details like name, registration number, time of the exam, the address of exam centre, candidate's photograph and signature. It can be downloaded by using their login credentials - roll number/registration number and date of birth/password.

The result of IB Security Assistant(Executive) is released by the exam conducting body in online mode. Candidates qualifying in the tier - I have to go for tier II examination. Candidates can check their result by entering - roll number/registration number and password/date of birth. 

IB Security Assistant(Executive) result are declared online either in the form of pdf or candidates have to login using their required credentials. The result of IB Security Assistant(Executive) contains details like the name of the candidate, roll number, category, marks obtained and qualifying status. Candidates who qualify this stag have to appear for interview/personality test. 

The cutoff of IB Security Assistant(Executive) exam is the minimum qualifying marks that the candidates have to secure in order to qualify the exam. The IB Security Assistant(Executive) cutoff for tier I is decided by the exam conducting authority. The cutoff for tier I and different categories are mentioned below -

The selection procedure of IB Security Assistant(Executive) includes three stages - Tier I, Tier II and Tier III (Interview/Personality Test). 

• Candidates have to appear for Tier I exam in order to get shortlisted for the next stage of selection. 

• The exam conducting authority selects candidates 10 times the number of vacancies available. 

• In tier II, candidates are required to score 20 marks out of 50 so that their marks in tier-III can be considered for preparing the final merit list on the basis of their performance in tier I and tier III exam. 

• However, candidates providing all the required documents followed by medical examination are selected for the post of IB Security Assistant(Executive).
