Bihar STET 2024 Normalization

In the previous section, while discussing the Bihar STET 2024 Cutoff, we used the term “Normalization”. Here, we elaborate upon the concept a bit more. The Bihar STET exam is conducted over multiple shifts, so it is possible that the question paper for one shift may be more difficult than that of the other. To keep things fair, the BSEB follows a normalization process while deciding the marks. Only the normalized score is compared to the cutoff marks, as opposed to the raw score.

A variation of Z Score Normalization is used in the process of generating the Bihar STET Result 2024. Details about the normalization process are mentioned in the Official BSEB STET Notification 2024. Candidates must note that despite there not being any negative marking in the Bihar STET exam, having a large number of incorrect answers will have a negative impact on the marks normalization process.
