In my opinion you should go for ARTS, that would be really helpfull for the preparation , as you can easily cover history and other subjects that comes as a major in the IAS exam.

well it is not possible to appear to IAS exam right after you have passed out your 12th.in order to become an IAS officer u should first attemot CSA exam conducted by the UPSC and u must also crackthe preliminiary tests and mains and the interview in order
