I have completed intermediate by 94% I want to prepare for IAS exam which course I want to choose?

Sk Student Expert 31st May, 2019
Hey,
You might like to go for Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) as in B.A. you can take History, Political Science, Geography and Economics as main subjects as they will also help you in the exam preparation.
So B.A. would be more helpful than any other course
Hope it helps :)

i am really want to become IAS so after 12 class what will i take BA, BSC, ETC. what will i take PLZ ANSWER

Aryaman Tewari 29th May, 2019
It's totally your choice. Although the best option would be to go along with your class 12th stream, a course which you have good basic knowledge of and can easily go through the material at a later point in time when you have to start your preparation for UPSC.

However, it also depends on the course you think guarantees a good chance of cracking the exam. For example, lot of students go for History Hons or Political Science particularly because the material and content is easily available, plus there is a lot of guidance regarding it.

So, yes. Do make the choice wisely. But don't stress too much over it. Good luck.

which is the best institute with degree course along with IAS coaching ??

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 29th May, 2019

Sarat Chandra IAS Academy is there in Vajayawada. They have some kind of integrated course for 3 years where you can pursue your graduation and at the same time prepare for UPSC examination. But if you want to take only the IAS course it is for 1 year along with all the levels of the examination. But in the integrated course they will prepare for all other similar exams.

Which is the best institute for ias coaching and for civils based on board marks

Sumit Kumar Bhui 29th May, 2019

No institute give coaching on the basis of board exams. If you start your preparation it advisable that you start it from your home or do a group study with like-minded friends as simply investing in coaching is not good, rather than that you purchased books and there is a lot of stuff on the internet where you can study literally all subjects free of cost. Unacademy is the site who give coaching free of cost online.

I want to do BA. Would it be beneficial to take coaching for UPSC? I am an IAS aspirant from Maharashtra.

Mansi Singh 28th May, 2019
Hello,
UPSC requires a degree of graduation as eligibility level. It doesn't specify the degree. Although BA is considered relevant fir UPSC because if you select relevant subjects during your degree then they will benefit you during your preparation too. So its a good decision to pursue graduation in humanities
Taking coaching or not is your personal choice. If you want to seek guidance and take coaching then you can take it. But if you already have enough guidance and are confident enough to study by yourself then its also good. Although online material for upsc is also available in abundance yet you have to make smart choice.
If you want to take coaching during your BA, then you can. It is because the syllabus of BA and UPSC are somewhat relatable. Also you will find a lot of time during graduation to prepare for UPSC.
All the very best!

Which is better among ba and bsc in order to get into IAS?

Sumit Kumar Bhui 28th May, 2019

No matters at all whatever you choose either BA or BSc. The only eligibility criteria to the UPSC exam is to be a graduate only. What matters the most is your preparation because all subjects and all papers are equally important in UPSC. Whether it is History, geography, Physics, Chemistry, Economics. You have to focus on syllabus and have to stick to that.

You start your preparation for UPSC from initial college days so that you have 3 years in your hand.
