Hope this helps!
Hello AKSHAY.
As you are saying that you are interested in civil servises . So as far as my knowledge I am suggesting you that you should go for DEGREE+IAS coaching in Sarat Chandra Academy. It is a good institute as you are opting out for IAS. More importantly in case you find yourself a little weak in any field you can go for separate classes in need.
feel free to ask any further quarry .
GOOD LUCK
In my point of view, if you are aspiring for civil services, you should opt for degree + IAS in Sarat Chandra IAS Academy. NTR is although a well esteemed institute but I feel that for upsc exam (ias), Sarat Chandra is the best option. In latter case you might need to do coaching separately for ias but sarat chandra will prepare you better.
HELLO SHYAMALA !!
Just relax . Their's no bad of you are confused it shows atleast you are concerned for career and not careless. SEE i am an engineering student and i am GRE aspirant ( masters from abroad), and i planned all this just few months back. so see you are ahead of me i palnned late after getting into B.tech but you are thinking of your career line since now.
So look one thing good about you that you know and are very clear that you want crack upsc. So just go for it buddy. Although as people say its a tough exam and lacs of students appear for this exam, but nothing is hard until you have hunger within to achieve your goal.
Now just plan for which UPSC exam you have to seek. Never come under other person's saying do what you think you can do better than any other. And search the coaching centre near to you not too far just to avoid your time in travelling or you can also crack from home internet is very beneficial if its used wisely.
atlast
step 1: BE clear for UPSC
step 2 : choose the mode for preparation.
step 3 : get set go.!!
KEEP YOURSELF MOTIVATED.!!
HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL !!
Hello, Darshini
The educational eligibility for UPSC is graduation in any discipline. Considering you are in the first year of post-graduation, you should start preparing as early as you can. If you plan to appear for the exam after completing post-graduation, then you have plenty of time but if not, start preparing;
1) Prioritize your time to study for UPSC, allot time to both post-grad subjects and UPSC as well.
2) Buy the most recommended books for IAS.
3) Enroll for the online mock tests to evaluate your preparation.
4) Read newspapers and magazines to stay updated with current affairs.
5) Read interviews by previous years toppers and take some notes.
Hope this is helpful. All the Best!
Hey Raghavendra,
It is totally fine to take a year drop for JEE , most of the people do that, it provides an year to focus specifically on the JEE. And as far as chances of you preparing for UPSC, it won't have any effect on that. One attempt less won't be problem, you will still have many attempts to crack UPSC. All the best!
Well many people drop a year to prepare for jee mains and advanced so there is no harm in taking a year drop. Sometimes, it is difficult to manage to study school level syllabus along with the syllabus of jee, especially jee advanced. Jee mains does not need a year drop if you study in +2 by heart but advanced needs some tome to prepare.
Talking about upsc ( exam required to become ias), its given age limit is 32 years for general , 35 for obc and 37 for sc/st. Even for general , it is possible to crack upsc within the age limit. If suppose you're 18 years old now, you'll be 23 by the time you complete your degree. Still, you'll have 9 years minimum to prepare for upsc. That's enough time.
There are no such specificaions given by upsc regarding your +2 marks. They are not concerned with your +2 marks and it does not affect your interview marks nor does it affect your mains rank. Though, it only boists your self morale. Other than that, it has no role in upsc score.
