Having a dream to become an IAS officer is fantastic but the exams are way tougher than you can imagine. Civil Services Entrance Examination in India is the most difficult exam of our country. If you have completed BSC, I would advice you to get very serious and join a coaching institute in your city to properly focus on your studies. Yes, you can start preparing, but you can give the first exam or prelims only in the final year of Graduation or upon completing Graduation.
Also your age must be 21.

IAS preparation needs lots of determination and dedication.For this the eligibility is to be a graduate.And then you can give the exam.This is a valuable exam in India so it needs proper preparation.
But main thing now is that you are in 10th you this time emphasize only on your boards.In 12 you can pursue any of the stream you want to.
BA,bCom,BSC,barch,btech every graduation is valid for the exam.
Then for IAS exam read all exam specifications and syllabus.

Hi buddy,if you wish to prepare for UPSC in future after your btech degree. You must focus on your degree syllabus after your degree you can go for UPSC IES(If your branch is mechanical civil electrical or ece) .if you prepare well and your branch is mechanical or civil, they can act as your optional subject.Otherwise you can still clear UPSC as engineering widen your brain and grasping power.you can see past result of UPSC (engineers are everywhere. Prepare well and all the best for your future.

UPSC conducts various examinations so please specify for which one you wanna take coaching. whether it is Civil Services or Engineering Services or CDS and maymore.
