If i want to be an ias officer and i am in 1st year of bsc..then should i use online coaching classes or normal coaching i.e. from centres

a.sachanaaa Student Expert 1st Aug, 2019

Whether you should do online coaching or offline coaching should depend on the fact that how much time you are willing to give to the coaching and how far are the coaching centres in your vicinity. If you wish to give more time and the coaching centres are near you then you should go for regular ones otherwise you can opt for online coaching. Hope this helps.

How can i become ias after bhms

BISWABHUSAN GHOSH 29th Jul, 2019
Dear Sandy,
To appear the UPSE-CSE exam the criteria is having Bachelors degree in any stream. So you can appear it once you finish your graduation. The first thing is you should know the syllabus of the examination before start preparing. This becomes very important during your preparation as you will be able to know which are from examination point of view. 60% questions are from current affairs and you should start reading the newspaper daily. For static portions begin with the NCERTs and gradually move to other books. The most important thing is to be an IAS officer is your attitude. Try to develop a positive attitude. Enter this field by your choice and not by anyone's force. Be confident, have patience and work hard no one can stop you to become an IAS.

If gradution score affect the ias or kas selections

shruti jha Student Expert 23rd Jul, 2019

Hi Shwetha,

No, your graduation marks are not at all going to effect your ias or kas selections. For such competitive exams you only have to score above 55% in your graduation from any stream to appear for these exams.

Your final selection is based on the total marks of written exam (pre+mains)and Interview rounds only.

So, of you had score above 55% in your graduation then, don't worry about your graduation marks.

Good luck  .
