Can I give exam for IAS after persuing BCA (degree or diploma ) ? or I will have to take another degree like BA BSC or btech ?

rehan18alam Student Expert 10th Oct, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

Students who wished to appear for UPSC exam must have to have a Degree from recognised university by University grants commission. Hence, if you have a degree not diploma then you are eligible for IAS exam. Moreover, you have to have your degree with you if you are going to appear for the exam. You can give prelims if you are currently in the final year but for mains, you must have your degree with you.

Hope this helps. Thank you.
