Is it easy to crack ssc je for a diploma (civil) student? or does this exams questions come from diploma level or upper level like b-tech level? so, what should I choose diploma or b-tech ?

Radhika gupta 31st Jul, 2020

Dear Soumyadip,

As if we talk about cracking the ssc je exam so the syllabus consists of the three parts General Intelligence and reasoning,General Awareness,General Engineering. I will let you know about each content seperately.

So first one is General intelligence:-

The Syllabus for General Intelligence would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc.

Second one is General Awareness:-

Questions will be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity and Scientific Research, etc

Third one is General Engineering:-

Building Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Surveying, Soil Mechanics, Hydraulics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering.

So from the upper content i will suggest you for btech.Other than that it is based upon you.

I hope you got the answer!!

ALL THE BEST!

If you have any query then feel free to ask!!

ssc je has no interview in the selection process, however the whole process has 3 steps,

1. step one- computer based exam, questions are mcq type, as per your stream and some of the general knowledge questions included.

2. step two- written examinations of the particular discipline paper as per your qualifications.

ssc je k liye kya kya krna hai

Megha 24th Mar, 2020

Hello Aspirant !

I will suggest you to :

  1. Go through the syllabus for the exam on the official website of SSC( https://ssc.nic.in/ ). This will give you a general idea of the topics you need to prepare. This will give you more time to prepare topics that you know nothing about instead of keeping these till the end when you might be tempted to completely skip that topic!
  2. The next step is to get the appropriate books to start your preparation. (If you want any suggestion for book please ask)
  3. Make a study schedule starting with topics you don’t know at all and then mix it up with one familiar topic a week. This will help you to not overburden yourself with something new every day.
  4. In case you have a doubt in any topics, don’t keep it pending till the last day. Clear your doubts while you still have them.
  5. Time management applies not only to the time you take out to study but also on how you utilize those 4-5 hours every day.
  6. Work on your speed . Your success in clearing the test depends on those 2 hours that you will be writing the paper.
  7. Practice more to improve your speed. Every time you solve a question put yourself on a timer and try to beat your score each time you do it.
  8. Practice previous years question papers and answer them like you are attempting the real exam. Give yourself 2 hours and try to finish within that time.

Hope it Helps!

All the best:)
