I am in class 12th with pcb stream can I give nda exam in sep 2026 for joining army ?

Sonakshi Kumari 4th Jul, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, you can appear for the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam in September 2026 to join the Indian Army, even if you are a Class 12 student with a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) stream. The Indian Army wing of NDA does not require Mathematics or Physics as mandatory subjects in Class 12, unlike the Navy and Air Force wings, which are only open to candidates with a PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) background. As long as you are an Indian citizen, unmarried, and your age falls between 16.5 and 19.5 years as on the date specified in the 2026 notification (likely born between January 2, 2008, and July 1, 2011), you are eligible. You will still be required to attempt both papers in the NDA written exam—Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT)—but selection into the Army wing mainly considers your overall merit. So, with the right preparation, especially for GAT and basic math, you can definitely aim for a career in the Indian Army through NDA.

All the best for your journey.

Prachi Kumari 8th Jul, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can give the NDA exam in September 2026 to join the Indian Army, even if you are from the PCB stream.

For the Army wing, candidates from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) are eligible if they have passed or are appearing in Class 12.

Maths is not compulsory for the Army wing. However, you will still have to attempt the Maths paper in the exam.

Also, make sure your date of birth falls between 2nd January 2008 and 1st July 2011 to be eligible for NDA 2 (September 2026).

Hope it helps !

What is the fees of mbbs for management quota in icare Haldia 2025 per semester

OISHEE BANERJEE 22nd Jun, 2025

At ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Haldia, the MBBS management quota fee for 2025 is approximately 9.5 lakhs per semester. Since the course runs for ten semesters over five years, the total tuition fee comes to around 85 to 86 lakhs.

This does not include additional charges like admission fees, caution deposit, hostel, or exam-related costs, which may vary depending on college policies. The management quota fee is generally higher than the government quota, and payment is usually made on a semester-wise basis.

If you're planning to apply through the management quota, it's good to be prepared for this financial commitment and check directly with the admission office for any updates or payment schedule changes.

if filled wrong info in nda 2 form by mistake i cliked yes on that option which was like are you studing in sanik school and ward of jco or OR whichwassupposed to be no what shall i do ive mailed upsc but still no response from last 5days

gopi 21st Jun, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

If you erroneously marked "Yes" for the question about studying in Sainik School or being the ward of a JCO/OR in the NDA 2 form when the answer was "No", Since you already mailed about this here is what you can do:

  1. Call UPSC to have it resolved quicker
  2. Wait for correction window (if any) - UPSC sometimes provides correction windows but they do this infrequently. If they have not yet announced the correction window, keep checking their official website.
  3. On exam day and at when SSB comes around, just be honest about what happened. In my past experience, as long as the mistake does not directly impact your eligibility or give you unjust advantage, they are usually okay to be sorted out during the document verification stage.

I have 6/18 in both eyes (uncorrected vision) and in the notification uncorrected vision allowance is 6/12 and my corrected vision is -1.0D spherical in both with falls right into limits of myopia. Am I eligible for NDA even though i didnt meet the requirements of uncorrected vision?

hemanth kumar 16th Jun, 2025

Being 6/18 in both eyes, you may be able to take the job based on the recruitment medical standards of the recruiting authority particularly, the jobs in the defence services or the government sector.

Most medical standards have certain amounts of uncorrected deficiencies in vision when vision corrected (glasses, contacts) is of the expected standard. The specific allowance depends upon a service and a post.

When the notification explains uncorrected vision allowance, then it probably means that everyone whose vision is worse than normal, but can be corrected to meet the specified requirement, can be afforded.

In order to be sure:

Ensure to read the accuracy of vision standards and allowance as stated in the official notification.

Upon permission, make sure that you attain a legal eye prescription displaying corrected eyesight within a limit.

In case of doubts, a certified medical officer or ophthalmologist is to be consulted to provide a report on eye examination.

I want admission in bams college

Ayush Madanpotra 30th Jul, 2025

To get admission in a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) college, you need to follow these steps:

First, you must qualify the NEET exam. Without NEET, admission in any recognized BAMS college is not possible.

After NEET results are declared, you need to register for AYUSH counselling. This is handled by AACCC for All India Quota and separately by your state for state quota seats.

During counselling, you can fill your preferred BAMS colleges based on your NEET score, category, and availability of seats.

Seat allotment will happen based on your rank, reservation category, and choices filled.

Once a seat is allotted, you must report to the college with original documents and pay the admission fee to confirm your seat.

You must also check the eligibility of the specific state or private college where you want admission, because each has different cut-offs.
