Both NDA phase1 and NDA phase2 are different from each other. I mean, its not at all compulsory to give nda1 to appear in nda2.
Basically, its like the nda exam is conducted twice a year to give admissions to candidates.

Female candidates are not allowed to appear for NDA exam. NDA does not conduct OTA exam. However, a graduate female candidate is eligibile to apply for Officers Traning Academy (OTA) which is conducted by UPSC through CDS exam.
