sir my vission is -2 i can apply for nda

Tanya Gupta 19th Jan, 2024

Hello,

To be eligible for NDA, the criteria for vision are as follows: Your distance vision (with correction) should be 6/6 or better in the stronger eye, and 6/9 or better in the weaker eye. The degree of myopia should not exceed 2.5 D, and the degree of hypermetropia, including astigmatism, should not exceed 3.5 D.

Since you are within the range, you are eligible to apply for NDA.

I hope this helps,

Thank you

my spectacle power is -2.5 can i eligible for nda in any group

Nitin Kumar 22nd Apr, 2024

No, based on the latest eligibility criteria (as of April 22, 2024) for the NDA exam, a spectacle power of -2.5 would likely disqualify you from appearing for the exam in any group.  The NDA medical standards specify a minimum distant vision requirement of 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in the other eye, correctable to 6/6 only for hypermetropia.Since your spectacle power is -2.5 , it exceeds the permissible limit for correctable vision.
