Which is the correct option (graduate level A, GraduateB, graduate,C, graduate D) for Bsc with physics, chemistry and maths candidates to apply AFCAT( non-technical)?

Tanya Gupta 26th Jan, 2024

Hello,

I understand it can be really confusing but if you have completed your BSc with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths then you can apply for AFCAT (non-technical) under the "Graduate" category. So the correct option from the various options would be "Graduate C."

Hope this helps,

Thank you

if someone has a gap of one year between 10th and 12th , is he /she eligible for afcat??

Tanya Gupta 5th Jan, 2024

Hello,

Yes, you can apply for AFCAT with a one-year education gap but you need to meet the age criteria. The flying branch requires a minimum age of 20 and a maximum of 24 (26 for DGCA CPL holders). Ground duty positions have a lower limit of 20 and an upper limit of 26. Fulfilling the specific education eligibility for your chosen post is essential.

I hope this helps,

Thank you

Hello, I am in final year of engineering. I have completed diploma. Am i eligible for AFCAT or CDS ?

shivamtrivedi0005 24th Aug, 2023

Hii There,

Yes, according to AFCAT eligibility criteria for 2023, students in their final year can apply for the exam. They should have achieved a minimum of 60% marks until their last completed year or semester when they submit their application. Additionally, they must provide evidence of completing their graduation by May 30, 2024.

Regarding the CDS exam, it's open to students from any engineering discipline. The CDS exam is held biannually to select candidates for IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy), and OTA (Officers Training Academy).

I hope this answers your question.

Thanking you

My graduation year is on June 2022. because of one backlog I had to clear it on December 2022. I.e I took one extra semester to clear my backlog . Am I eligible to apply for Ssc cgl and defence service SSB( AFCAT,navy, army). took an extra sem to clear, will it affect applying from this exams?

Yash Teotia 23rd Jul, 2025

Hello

As long as you cleared that backlog, it shouldn't be a problem and you can definitely apply for exams like SSC CGL.

You just have to make sure that you have done graduation which means clearing all backlogs. As you have done so, there won't be any problem in SSC CGL.
