Hey, I completed my 10+2 with PCB and i completed my graduation, I know math is mandatory for AFCAT is there a chance where i can write Maths Open and attempt AFCAT?

Atul Singh 26th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

For AFCAT there is officially mentioned that you need to complete your graduation from any recognized board with maths and physics as a compulsory subject. When you will fill the application form they they will ask you to submit the pdf copy of your marksheet for the proof, and there is only one tab where you have to submit that, so even if you complete your maths degree from a open source also then you will not able to submit the proof of that degree. Everything they are asking need to be mention in a single degree.

Best Of Luck!!!

without awareness i have applied henna on my hands will they allow me to sit in AFCAT exam?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 28th Aug, 2021

Hello,

In many exams there's a rule that candidates' fingers should not be coated with stamped ink/mehndi/colour. However AFCAT hasn't mentioned any specific rules regarding that.

They have mentioned in guidelines that no electronic devices or gadgets will be allowed inside the AFCAT examination centre like mobile phones, smartwatches, bluetooth devices, etc.

I hope this helps.

Hi Nikhil,

IGNOU is very much recognized by the UGC and there is no problem regarding the validity of the degree provided by them.

And as far as your question is concerned... Yes, you are eligible for CDS (Combined Defence Service) Exam

There will be no issue on which college you have passed your degree, your college should be UGC-recognized. Same thing goes for AFCAT as well. Although there are other eligibility criteria you might want to look into.

Unlike for Ground Duty Technical there is no requirement to study Mathematics and Physics in 10+2 level and score minimum 50% aggregate marks for Ground Duty Non-technical. There are various branches in Ground Duty Non-technical listed below

Hey,

Yes, any degree from a UGC-approved university is sufficient to apply for the UPSC CDSE exam. Because IGNOU is the National University for Distance Education, all government hiring organisations esteem its accredited courses.

You can Pursue your graduation from any of the distance education institutions. You just need to note that it should be valid and approved from UGC. Along with it, for appearing for CDS and AFCAT you need to meet their basic eligibility criteria.
