The starting salaries of all Civil Servants (Group A) are the same (Pay Level 10).
7th Pay Commission recommendations were approved by Cabinet Now the basic pay of entry-level IAS officers is 56,100. Allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and Travel Allowance (TA) will be extra. The salary will increase as experience increases. The basic pay of Cabinet Secretary is fixed at 2,50,000.

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) was formerly known as the Imperial Civil Service (ICS) is the Civil Services Examination and one of the toughest competitive exams in India. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of officers for the All India Administrative Civil Service.

Hello. Congrats for thinking on becoming an IAS. I have researched and steps you must follow to become IAS are:-
1) After giving your 10th, choose any branch.
2) After your 12th, do any degree(3-4 years).
3) After getting graduated, 1 year coaching for IAS with self practice is important.
4) Attend mock tests and then finally write exams (I.e.prelims,mains).
5) If you qualify in mains then you'll have interview in Delhi.
6) Remember that the marks of mains and interview will be added.
7) If you get a rank between 1-95 on India level then you'll become an IAS.

If you want to become an IAS officer then first of all you need to be a graduate in any discipline of your choice and then you need to appear in one of the toughest examination called UPSC , and it has 3 stages which are listed below :-
*The first stage of the exam is Preliminary examination (objective )
*The second stage, Mains (written).
*If you manage to clear both prelims and mains then you are to go through third stage i.e interview/personality test .
And if you managed to clear all the three rounds mentioned above, then congratulations you may become an ias officer

IAS salary structure consists of different Pay Scales: Junior Scale, Senior Scales, Super Time Scale, Above Super Time Scales etc. Each of the pay scales further consists of different pay bands. If we are talking about starting salary of IAS officer then basic per month salary of an IAS officer starts at approximate Rs.56,100 excluding travelling allowance ,daily allowance ,home rent allowance .
