UPSC Civil Services Exam
Hello,
For the IAS exam, you can enroll in any bachelor's course. It would be great if you figured this out and solely pursued your bachelor's in this discipline as you are already clear that you want to choose Botany/Zoology as optional studies. The optional subjects are crucial to the IAS exam. Even if you are uncertain about this, you should choose B.SC (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry). Because you would be able to study both botany and zoology in this, and you could also choose an optional subject at the end.

sorry, but best of luck.
Hey!
My advice to you would be that as of now your daughter Ananya is too young to even be thinking about the preparation.
There’s still almost about 10 years before she will even be eligible to appear for the exam.
There however is a small tip that i have learnt over the years which is that the most important study source for UPSC CSE are NCERTs.
Although she doesn’t have to study it with that perspective but if one keeps their basics of the ncert clear there preparation becomes a thousand times easier.
But right now is truly the sparking age of her childhood. Let her blossom and come to a point where she is ready to take on all these responsibilities.
All the best for your future pursuits!

Hello User,
Hope you are doing well.
If it’s treatable, it shouldn’t be a problem. But if it affects vision or if there is any possibility for vision degeneration in the future, then it may be an issue. Physical and medical fitness for the services differ for technical (IPS etc where requirements are more) and non- technical services (IAS etc)
It is given in much detail in this notification: (from page 12) https://persmin.gov.in/ais1/Docs/Appendix-III.pdf
Better to check with an ophthalmologist with these details and get their advice.
Hope this will help you....Good Luck!
it will not create any problem in future but the thing is that you have to study very toughly cause as you know in science stream there are theory, theorems, calculas, intrigration. these are little bit tough. and choosing science stream is good option for you cause it gives you so many job opportunity in future. as well as you can do graduation related to science, commerce and arts stream it gives you a option whatever subject you like and you think is easy you can go for that.
personally I'll suggest you after completing your 11th and 12th go for Btech it is equivalent to graduation then you should apply for UPSC if you clear UPSC then it will be good or if could not clear then having a science and technical background gives you a advantage of working in industries.
hope this is helpful for you
best of luck
