If you are to give IAS officer examination that means you have to give UPSC examination. And UPSC examination total marks is 2025 which is including all subjects and category. And there will be present negetive marking also. Each wrong answer carrying 0.33% negetive marking from your total marks.

If you want to become an IAS then its minimum eligibility criteria is that Candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognized University.And also awaiting graduates are also eligible.

There is no such thumb rule that Candidates should have engineering  degree or medical degree for pursuing IAS
