hello i am for Electronics and communication Engineering can i have a eligibility to attend the SSC JE exam

Subhrajit Mukherjee 3rd Jun, 2021

I don't think the SSC JE have demands for ECE. If you see the notification for examination then you will find three to four fields namely:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering.
  • Quantity Surveying (Also not frequent)

I would say you can attempt for the ICRB exams for ISRO. ISRO have quite a good rate of employment for ECE.

TO get the notifications about the latest vacancies you may keep an eye on the link below:

https://www.isro.gov.in/careers

Apart from this you have DRDO, BARC, NEILIT etc.

Some of the PSU's you may get through GATE are:

  1. BEL
  2. HAL
  3. ECIL
  4. AAI
  5. BSNL , MTNL
  6. Powergrid, Railtel
  7. NTPC
  8. BPCL, IOCL, ONGC, IOCL, HPCL, GAIL
  9. BHEL
  10. BDL
  11. SAIL, CIL, NMDC

So you have a ample number of opportunities.

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

  1. NPCIL

Hello STudent

Yes you can apply for junior engineer railway and junior engineer in SSC staff selection commission. For junior engineer engineer in railways dream of civil candidate has to pass 12th class with science at least 50% marks and he or she has to achieve the diploma in civil engineering from a recognised polytechnic College. Candidate has to appear also scrutiny exam for selection. selection will be on the basis of scrutiny exam result and  Viva -voice and after that railways will take a medical examination for the candidate this is the final stage of selection.

The junior engineer category of post in railways involved alot of field work and it has a slow career growth but in SSC junior engineer category of post involved in total official work for civil diploma holder engineers. SSC has a steady and moderate career growth.

Hope this helps.
