It's completely your call but yes preparing for jee main will definitely will help in your NDA examination, as it has maths with same syllabus of 11th &12th. Moreover, if you prepare for jee main then you would find NDA paper comparatively easier because it's difficulty level is lower

Im a commerce student and want to appear for nda (army force) . what all subjects will be there for the preparation? and as i dont have physics, is it necessary to give physics paper in entrance of nda?

Hi

Being commerce student, you are eligible only for Army in nda and not for Airforce & navy.

There's no seperate paper of physics in NDA,  it's just that questions from physics are there in the GAT paper of NDA.

There are 2 subjects in NDA -

  • Maths
  • GAT.

Yes , you are eligible for NDA examination with the subjects mentioned by you  but only for army and not for navy and Airforce

This is because,

For army, you need 10+2 qualification in any stream from any recognised board , for navy and air force it is mandatory

You can give NDA either after 12th or in 12th board examination appearing year provided you are in the age group of 16.5 to 19.5 years.

is there any sectional cutoff in NDA in GAT part. Like is there any minimum marks to be scored in English and GS seperately?

Yes, there's sectional cut off in NDA.

You need at least 25 % in each paper.

i. e You need at least

  • 25 % in maths i. e 25 % of 300 = 75 marks
  • 25 % in GAT i. e 25 % of 600 = 125 marks
