Yes, this is true. That is why a majority of students fill the form of NDA in the April of when they are in class XII, so that the starting date does not clashed with the school or any examination.

The candidates who are willing to apply in NDA 2023 must be aged between 16.5 years and 19.5 years. Candidates who are born between July 2, 2004 - July 1, 2007 are eligible for applying in NDA 1 2023 and candidates who are born between January 2, 2005- January 1, 2008 can apply for NDA 2 2023. And in addition, to be eligible for applying in 2023, candidates must have passed class 12 examination. Those who are appearing class 12 examination can also apply.

Candidates must have studied math and physics in order to be eligible for the Air Force and Naval wings of the test.
Even if a candidate does not have a +2 in physics and math, their eligibility for the Indian Army will still be examined. Candidates from the arts, sciences, and business backgrounds can all apply to the Army side of the NDA. The Union Public Service Commission [UPSC] oversees the admission exam. The test has a minimum age requirement of sixteen and a half years and a maximum age requirement of nineteen years.

Yes , you are eligible for NDA examination even if you are an a pcb student i. e you don't have maths but only for army and not for navy and Airforce wing of NDA

The NDA exam is twice every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in April and September. The NDA recruitment exam is conducted to induct eligible and qualified applicants as officers in the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. All class 12th passed from a recognised board between the age group of 16.5 to 19.5 years. Those who given the standard 12th exam and are awaiting result are also eligible to appear for the NDA exam.
As per your mentioned date of birth you are eligible to write NDA examination only one time.

From 2 July 2004 to 1 July 2007
NDA 2, 2023
From 2 January 2005 to 1 January 2008
So, there is only one chance left for you to sit in NDA examination.

To become a officer in IAF there are many ways right after 12th and graduation After passing 12th you can appear for UPSC NDA/NA exam conducted by UPSC twice a year but for IAF you must have Physics & Mathematics as one of the subjects.You can get the detailed notification about it from official website of UPSC.

Yes, you are eligible for NDA in age criteria, Candidates must have completed 12 th standard or equivalent exam from a recognised Board for Indian Army and Physics and Mathematics is compulsory subjects for Indian Air Force and Naval. Candidates between 16.5 years to 19.5 years are eligible for NDA. But you'll be eligible for NDA - I and NDA - II in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
For NDA 2 - 2022, candidates must have born not earlier than January 2, 2004, and not later than January 1, 2007.
For NDA 1, candidates should be born not earlier than July 2, 2003 and not later than July 1, 2006.
