There may be many reasons.
But girls can go in defence after completing graduation.
There are some criteria to appear in NDA
Like age height
Must be a boy
12 pass out or appearing
Eye sight.
Unmarried.

Yes, you can apply for NDA exam if you have completed your intermediate from open school/college. Also, you must be between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age.

In order to get into NDA, you need to pass class 12th. However, those appearing/ passing class 11 exams are not eligible for the exam. To know more about NDA eligibility criteria - Check Here

Cadets after joining NDA after Class 10 are provided training in the Academy for three years along with graduation in BA/Bsc or Bcs (Computer Science) degree of JNU.
