Hello,

The best way to cover current affairs is to read newspaper on a daily basis, you can refer The Hindu or The Indian Express  along with this, refer any business newspaper, since banking exam focuses more on business, finance, economy etc, watch business news channel to keep yourself updated, you can also refer monthly magazines like pratiyogita darpan in case you are unable to read newspaper regularly but newspaper reading is always the best option, you can focus on last three to four months current affairs regarding this.

I am scored 94% in class 12 science with pcms.all are said to me that to join engeeneering but I say no because they are not finding job now.so I want to take bsc with pms and after I write sbi po/ibps po my decision is right plz reply

Shalini Parimal 22nd Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

Congrats for such a good performance!!

It all depends on you what you want to pursue. It solely depends on you what you have more interest in and what you want to be. Also BSc with PMS is really a great idea and is a very good basic ground for SBI PO/IBPS. However it is not true that Engineers are not finding jobs now. If that would have been the scenario, all the IT companies in India and  all over the world would have been empty. The new softwares ,websites , any new Car, even the buildings and many more thing around us would have stopped developing. I agree that there are cases  where Engineers can't find jobs but that happens in each field of study; even in the field like where students are preparing for PO/IBPS can't succeed after a various attempts.

Also a recent study says that the hiring rate of engineering graduates across all India was at 31% in 2020 which is higher rate of hiring compared to other fields of study in the country.

So basically saying it is not the field where you can't get job. It is the skillset that is checked in every field that you have to be the best at which could be gained out of hardwork and determination.

Hope it clears your doubt!!!

my 12 aggregate percentage in pcbe is 53% I can qualify neet after qualify can I get aiims

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th Aug, 2021

Hi

Though AIIMS MBBS entrance examination has been scrapped off and now admission is  through Neet examination but percentage requirement in 12th to be eligible for admission in mbbs in Aiims  is still the same as it was before scrapping of its entrance . The page number 11 of mcc counselling scheme pdf clearly mentions that it has its own eligiblity criteria, the link to download it is provided below

https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/Documents/UGSchemeFinal.pdf

Which category do you belong to?

Aiims eligibility criteria is given below:-

to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got:-

  • at least 60  % in aggregate of PCB and English in 12th examination  if belongs to general /obc category

  • at least  50%  in aggregate of PCB and English if belongs to st/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB and English in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, with 53 % in PCBE you are not eligible for AIIMS if you are from general or obc, but if you are from sc /st / ph then you are eligible

Also,

* to be eligible for Aiims 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old  by 31st December 2021

You can check the same by downloading the official brochure of AIIMS Delhi for which link is provided below

https://www.aiimsexams.org/pdf/MBBS-2020%20update%20%7BProspectus).pdf

Another important thing to note is while AIIMS considers aggregate in PCBE i. e physics chemistry biology and English Neet considers only PCB aggregate.

As admission in aiims is thorough neet , so you need to appear in neet and thus you need to be eligible for it as well. To be eligible for neet 2021 one must be either appearing for  12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology /biotechnology in 12th examination  if belongs to general category , or   at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category. I want to prepare for IBPS PO and UPSC both in my future which subject Ill choose in BA ??

pdwords Student Expert 17th Jun, 2021

Hello,

First of all both the eligibility criteria of UPSC and IBPS PO clearly states that candidates need to pass graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, hence you can pursue bachelor's degree in any stream. it's entirely up to your choice but BA Hons in Economics can be good option as in terms of appearing for UPSC with general studies and optional paper, and to a large extent it will help you in banking exam, apart from this one of major difference between the two exams is UPSC has MCQs in prelims but mains is subjective, in IBPS PO both the stages are in MCQs with one descriptive paper in second stage, and banking exam requires speed and precision, over the years the difficulty level of questions in banking exams have too increased, hence practice is of utmost importance to qualify the same.
