Candidates can check IBPS Clerk result 2016 by entering their Roll Number or Registration Number and Date of Birth or Password. IBPS Clerk 2016 mains exam was conducted on January 1, 2017. IBPS Clerk result 2016 of mains exam has been declared only for those candidates who have secured subject wise as well as overall passing marks as per their category in Reasoning ability, English language, General awareness, Quantitative aptitude and Computer Knowledge sections. The total marks allotted for IBPS Clerk 2016 mains exam are 200. The marks secured by candidates will be converted out of 100 for Provisional Allotment. The marks secured by candidates in IBPS Clerk 2016 mains exam and the list of candidates selected for provisional allotment will be announced together in April 2017. Earlier, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared IBPS Clerk result 2016 of preliminary exam on December 9, 2016.

According to IBPS, no interviews will be conducted for IBPS Clerks 2016 recruitment exam and candidates will be selected on the basis of their score secured in mains exam. As per the notification, 100% weightage will be given to the score obtained by the candidate in the online main examination while preparing the IBPS clerk merit list for allotment of banks.

Highlights of IBPS Clerk 2016 Result

 

IBPS Clerk Result 2016 for Mains: The result of IBPS Clerk 2016 mains will be declared in month of March 2017. The result will be declared only for those candidates who will overall and subject-wise score cut off marks. The marks secured in mains exam will be basis for preparation of merit list for allotment of clerical cadre posts in any of the 20 Public Sector banks in India.

 

Procedure to Calculate IBPS Clerk 2016 result

 

The examination authority adopts following procedure to calculate score of candidates in IBPS Clerk Exam.

  • Number of questions answered correctly by candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying penalty for wrong answer

  • The corrected answer obtained by a candidate are made equivalent using equi-percentile method after considering differences in difficulty level,  any, in each of the objective tests held in different session to arrive at equated score

  • Score obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base from by considering the distribution scored of all the forms

  • Final score in each test rounded of two digits after the decimal point

Total weighted Score of IBPS Clerk 2016 will be arrived by following process:

 

Total Weighted Score = Scores obtained in Reasoning + English Language + Computer Knowledge + General Awareness + Quantitative Aptitude

IBPS 2016 CWE Clerks VI will be conducted for recruitment of around 19, 243 clerical cadre posts in 20 public sector banks in India. Some government and private financial organisation also accepts IBPS score for filling up their clerical cadre post in their respective organisations.

 

IBPS Clerk 2016 Provisional Allotment: The total marks allotted for IBPS Clerk 2016 mains exam are 200. The marks secured by candidates will be converted out of 100 for Provisional Allotment. A candidate should qualify in IBPS Clerk 2016 online mains exam and be sufficiently high in the merit list to be considered for subsequent provisional allotment process. Provisional Allotment will be done on the basis of final vacancies to be reported by the Participating Banks or Organisations.

 

IBPS Clerk Result 2016 for Preliminary Exam: The IBPS Clerk 2016 result for preliminary has declared only for those candidates who have scored the qualifying marks in the online recruitment exam. Candidates have to score overall as well as subject wise cut off score as per their category to qualify the preliminary exam. Only those who have qualified the IBPS Clerk 2016 preliminary has been allowed to appear for IBPS Clerk 2016 mains. According to officials, marks obtained in the preliminary examination (IBPS Clerk 2016 phase 1) will not be added while preparing final merit list of candidates for selection.
