Problems on trains is an extended version of time, speed and distance. In this article, we will study the concept of relative speed. Problems on trains hold a good number of questions in all the competitive exams but SSC & Railways ask a high number of questions related to problems on trains. To take command over this chapter, one should thoroughly go through the basic concepts of problems on trains and practice a lot of questions from diversified sources. Some of the important concepts related to problems on trains are as follows:-
Condition | Concept Related to Condition |
When two trains or bodies are moving in the opposite direction |
|
When two trains or bodies are moving in the same direction |
|
When the train is crossing a stationary object (man, pole, tree, etc) which do not have any length |
|
When the train is crossing a stationary object (tunnel, bridge, etc) which have some length |
|
Before coming to this one, go through the chapter time speed distance in great detail.
Try to increase your imagination power by assuming the scenarios in the statements.
Mix up it with time speed distance, don't understand it a separate topic.
Practise it using diversified sources.
Use previous year question paper to get an idea about the pattern and difficulty level of questions.
Take mock test to know about the latest trending pattern of the exams.
