Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Urban Governance, Public Policy, Rights Issue, related to Maharashtra and India etc.
Economic and Social Development – Demographics, Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
General issues on Biodiversity, Environmental Ecology & Climate Change.
General Science
Comprehension
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Decision-making and problem-solving
General mental ability
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class 10th level), Data Interpretation (charts, graphs, data sufficiency, tables etc. – Class X level)
Marathi and English language comprehension skills (Class X/XII level) Questions relating to this will be tested through passages from Marathi and English language without providing cross translation thereof in the question paper.

Applicants should note that medium of question will be in Marathi & English language
There will be negative marking for paper 1 in MPSC prelims exam, while no negative marking in paper 2.
As per syllabus there are 6 papers in mains exam.
The exam pattern comprises that there are six papers, and there is no negative marking in that paper.
To complete the MPSC syllabus applicants have to cover both preliminary and mains syllabus and it will take around one year to complete it.
