Punjab PCS 2020 - Punjab Public Service Commission - PPSC is the examination conducting authority of the Punjab PCS exam. The Punjab PCS 2020 is expected to be held in the month of September. Punjab PCS exam 2020 will be held for recruitment of eligible candidates for the posts of Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tehsildar, Food Supply and Consumer Affairs Officer, Assistant Registrar Co-Operative Societies, Block Development & Panchayat Officer, Labour and Conciliation Officer, Employment Generation & Training Officer, Deputy Superintendent Jails / District Probation Officer (GradeII)), etc in the state of Punjab.

The Punjab PCS application form 2020 has been released by the PPSC for the applicants to fill on the Commission's website - ppsc.gov.in. The last date to register for the Punjab PCS exam is June, 30, 2020. Candidates have to pay a one time application fee and examination fee for successfully submitting the application form. The application fee is the same for all, but the examination fee is different for different categories. The fee can be paid via online or offline mode. Last date for fee submission is July, 7, 2020. The Punjab PCS exam has two written stages i.e. prelims and mains. Both prelims and mains are conducted in offline mode. In prelims objective type questions are asked whereas in mains the questions asked are subjective in nature. Punjab PCS prelims has two papers of 200 marks each, whereas mains has seven papers of 1350 marks in total. There is no -ve marking in the Punjab PCS prelims and mains exam. The admit card for Punjab PCS prelims, mains and interview will be released separately on the PPSC website - ppsc.gov.in. The Punjab PCS admit card 2020 has various details printed on it like candidate’s name, roll number, registration number, photograph & signature, category, examination date & time, examination venue, etc. Candidates need to carry the admit card to the examination centre or else they won't be allowed to appear for the Punjab PCS exam 2020. Incase of any discrepancy in the details printed on the hall ticket applicants are to contact the authority concerned.
PPSC releases the Punjab PCS prelim exam answer key after a few days of the examination. The Punjab PCS answer key 2020 is released online on the PPSC website for the prelims examination. First the provisional answer key is released so the applicants can raise objections in the time allotted to do so. After verifying the objections raised then the final answer key issued by the Commission. The release of the Punjab PCS prelims answer key makes it easy for the candidates to check their responses and get an idea of how they performed in the exam. It also helps the candidates to calculate their score. There is no answer for the mains stage as it is descriptive in nature.
The result for Punjab PCS 2020 will be declared by the Commission on their official website - ppsc.gov.in for all the stages of the Punjab PCS examination. Candidates qualifying all the stages will be eligible for recruitment to various posts notified under Punjab PCS 2020 exam. The final Punjab PCS result 2020 will be based on the marks obtained by applicants in the mains and interview stage of the selection process.
Cutoff is the minimum mark required by the candidates to qualify a particular stage of the examination and move on to the next round. The Punjab PCS cutoff for prelims and mains stage of the exam will be released separately. Candidates clearing the Punjab PCS prelims cutoff will be eligible for mains and candidates clearing the Punjab PCS mains exam cutoff will be selected for the interview round. The final Punjab PCS cutoff 2020 will be released after the interview round based on the mains and interview scores of the candidates.
