    Karnataka Tet Syllabus 2020- Government of Karnataka has released Karnataka TET 2020 syllabus on the official website- schooleducation.kar.nic.in. Candidates who have filled up the Karnataka TET application form 2020 should first go through the exam pattern and then the syllabus of Karnataka TET 2020 and study accordingly. Karnataka TET syllabus 2020 contains the important topics of all the subjects of the exam. It is also advisable for the candidates to collect previous year’s Karnataka TET question papers and prepare as per the Karnataka TET 2020 syllabus in order to excel in the exam. Karnataka TET examination is conducted every year for recruitment of teachers (Class I- VII) in schools across the state of Karnataka. There are 2 levels and 2 papers in Karnataka TET 2020. Paper I in the syllabus of Karnataka TET 2020 is designed for the candidates of class I-V teachers and the paper II is designed for candidates of class V-VII teachers. Candidates can appear in paper I or paper II or both of the Karnataka TET 2020 syllabus as per the Karnataka TET eligibility criteria 2020.     Karnataka TET Syllabus 2020- Paper I

    Karnataka TET 2020 syllabus paper I is for candidates applying for the post of class I to V teachers. All the subjects/sections in this paper are compulsory. Each section in the Karnataka TET syllabus 2020 is designed to test specific skills, understanding and ability of the candidates. In all the subject areas, questions in Paper I will be based on the topics from NCERT / State syllabus for classes I-VIII. However, the difficulty level could go up to the Secondary stage (X Standard). Questions paper I of Karnataka TET syllabus 2020 will be in 5 sections-

    1. Child Development and Pedagogy

    2. Language I

    3. Language II

    4. Mathematics

    5. EVS

    6. Social Studies (for VI candidates only)

    Child Development and Pedagogy is based on the psychology of learning and teaching for the age group of 6-11 years. This section will focus on the characteristics and needs of different learners, how to interact with learners and the qualities of a good facilitator of learning. Language section in Karnataka TET 2020 syllabus will ask questions based on unseen passages and on pedology of language development. Mathematics and EVS papers in the syllabus of KTET 2020 are based on concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding. VI candidates will have to answer questions from the Social Studies section instead of Maths and EVS. There will be 30 objective type/ multiple choice based questions (MCQs) in all sections of Karnataka TET syllabus 2020 except the EVS section. (60 MCQs for 60 marks).     Karnataka TET Syllabus 2020- Paper II

    There will be a total 4 sections in paper II of Karnataka SET 2020 syllabus-

    1. Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory)

    2. Language I (compulsory)

    3. Language II (compulsory)

    4. Mathematics and Science

    5. Social Studies

    While the first 3 sections in the syllabus of Karnataka TET 2020 are compulsory for all candidates, Mathematics and science section is for candidates applying for the post of Maths and Science teacher only. Also, the Social Studies section is applicable for the candidates applying for Social Studies/Science teachers posts. The difficulty level of the question paper will be upto senior secondary stage. Syllabi of all the subjects except the mathematics and science sections are the same. The Child Development & Pedagogy section will ask questions on educational psychology of the teaching-learning process relevant to the age group of 11-14 years.
