As per the final result of SBI PO 2018, there are 2003 candidates who have qualified for the final recruitment. The result of SBI PO mains exam 2018 was declared on August 27, 2018. SBI had conducted SBI PO mains 2018 exam on August 4, in one slot, from 10 am to 1.30 pm. After qualifying the mains exam, the candidates had been further called for Group Discussion (GD) & Interview, which was held from September 24 to October 12. The interview call letter of SBI PO 2018 was issued on September 3, which could be downloaded by the candidates in online mode till October 12, 2018.

SBI PO 2018 Eligibility Criteria related to Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed graduation in any discipline or are appearing in the final semester or year of graduation/any equivalent examination from a recognized university.
Candidates in the final semester/year can also apply, however, they have show the proof by August 31, 2018 that they have passed graduation.
Candidates with Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) Certificate can also apply, given that they prove that they have passed the certificate on or before August 31, 2018.
Chartered Accountants are also eligible to apply.

Candidates age must fall between 21 years to 30 years as on April 1. This means that candidates must be born between April 2, 1988 and April 1, 1997.

SBI PO 2018 Preliminary Exam Pattern
The preliminary examination of SBI PO 2018 was held in online mode on July 1, 7 and 8 wherein candidates had to answer questions from English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. The test was held for 1 hour and candidates had to attempt 100 questions in total – 35 each from Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability and 30 from English Language. Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark, while for each incorrect answer, 0.25 or 1/4th marks will be deducted.

SBI conducted SBI PO mains test for qualified candidates of preliminary exam. The test had two parts – objective test for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks.
The objective exam was held for 3 hours wherein the candidates had to answer questions from Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/ Banking Awareness and English Language. Candidates have to answer a total of 155 questions from all these 4 sections.
In the Descriptive Test, candidates had to answer 2 questions online (on a computer) from English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) within in 30 minutes. These 2 questions will be of 50 marks.

Selected candidates in SBI PO will be recruited on probation for a period of two years wherein they have to undergo rigorous training. Towards the end of the probation/training period, the candidates are required to undergo a screening procedure. While those Officers who achieve the predetermined standards may be confirmed and given placement in the next higher grade i.e., Officer Middle Management Grade Scale-II, others who qualify in the test but fail to achieve the standards set for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale-II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The services of those Officers who fail to qualify in this process will be terminated.
