 IBPS PO 2018 -  Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is expected to announce the IBPS PO 2018 mains result in December. The authority conducted IBPS PO 2018 in online mode on November 18. IBPS PO prelims scorecard along with the cut off was released on  November 12, 2018. Candidates check their IBPS PO 2018 scores by using registration number/roll number and date of birth and password.  The prelims exam was conducted in online mode on October 13, 14, 20 and 21 in 195 cities across the country. The examination authority is conducting IBPS PO exam in three stages - prelims, mains, and an interview. A total of 4252 vacancies have been announced for the post of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees in 20 participating banks of IBPS.

Over 30 lakh candidates appear for the recruitment process every year. To appear in IBPS PO exam, candidates must be between 20 to 30 years of age, as on August 1, 2018. Candidates qualifying in the prelims exam were able to take the mains exam. Personal Interview will be conducted for qualifying candidates for the mains exam. IBPS PO Admit Card 2018

IBPS released the admit card for IBPS PO 2018 mains exam on November 1 in online mode. IBPS had released the prelims admit card of IBPS PO 2018 on September 27. Candidates need to carry the admit card to the exam centre. Without the admit card of IBPS PO, candidates will not be allowed in the exam hall. IBPS PO Vacancies 2018

Vacancies for IBPS PO 2018 has been announced by IBPS for the recruitment Common Recruitment Process for selection of personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Participating Organisations. The vacancies have been increased to 4252 compared to last year. In 2017, there were 3562 vacancies. 8822 vacancies in 2016, 12434 vacancies in 2015 and 16721 vacancies in 2014 for the recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees. IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria 2018

IBPS has released the eligibility of IBPS PO 2018. IBPS PO eligibility criteria 2018 include eligibility based on nationality, age, educational qualification, etc. It is important that the candidates check the eligibility criteria of IBPS PO 2018 before applying for the exam. IBPS PO Nationality/Citizenship Criteria 2018

Following type of candidates are eligible for IBPS PO 2018 based on nationality or citizenship.

  • Citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan.

  • Tibetan Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement.

  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

  • Candidates other than a citizen of India must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in their favour. 

IBPS PO Age Criteria 2018

As per the eligibility criteria of IBPS PO 2018, a general category candidate must be 20-30 years of age. A relaxation i.e. an extension of the age limit is given to special categories which go from about 3 years to 10 years.

IBPS PO Educational Qualification Criteria 2018

The candidate must have a graduation degree such as B.A., B, Tech., or any other Bachelors Degree from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification also recognized by the Government of India.

The candidate must be computer literate as the mode of examination is online. The candidate must also have proficiency, both verbal and written in the language of the state or the union territory.

Number of Attempts in IBPS PO 2018

A candidate can take as many attempts as he/she wants to take until success comes. 


IBPS PO Application Form 2018

Application form of IBPS PO 2018 was released on August 14. IBPS PO application form could be filled in online mode till September 4. While filling the application form of IBPS PO, candidates had to fill in essential details very carefully and complete the entire process. IBPS PO 2018 Application Fee

Application fees once paid will be non-refundable. The fee for SC/ST/PWD is Rs. 100 and for general and other categories, Rs. 600 (including intimation charges).


IBPS PO Exam Centres 2018

IBPS had released the list of IBPS PO exam centres. The exam was conducted across 36 states/UTs. One exam centre city can have more than one exam centres. Candidates could fill in their preferred IBPS PO exam centres in the application form.   • There are three sections in the IBPS PO prelims exam - English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability. One hour will be given to complete this section. IBPS PO prelims exam will carry 100 marks.

  • IBPS PO mains exam has four objective sections - Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, Data Analysis and Interpretation. The time duration for these sections is three hours. These sections will carry 200 marks. The descriptive section will have two questions of 25 marks. The allotted time for this section is 30 minutes. 

  • An interview will be conducted for the candidates who qualify IBPS PO mains exam.

Syllabus of IBPS PO 2018 Mains Examination

IBPS PO 2018 syllabus for the mains exam will be based on the sections of Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language and Data Analysis and Interpretation. Letter writing and essay writing is to be prepared for the descriptive section. The candidate must have knowledge of computers since IBPS PO conducted online.

Syllabus of IBPS PO 2018 Prelims Examination

There will be topics based on three sections in the syllabus of IBPS PO prelims.

For the Reasoning Ability section in the IBPS PO Prelims examination, candidates will have to prepare topics like logical reasoning, alphanumeric series, puzzles, blood relations, etc. For the Quantitative Aptitude section, candidates should prepare topics like simplifications, profit, and loss, number systems, mensuration, permutation, combination, etc. The English Language section will have questions like error detection, Para jumbles, fill in the blanks, etc.

How to prepare by subjects and division of sections for IBPS PO 2018

  • While preparing for the IBPS PO exam, divide time for sections and subjects according to what you find most difficult

  • Pick one topic at a time to avoid confusion

  • Try a good no. Of questions, say 50, of the same kind to attain accuracy

  • Keep in mind the weightage, time consumed, difficulty and topic for each prep session.

  • Select the right material

  • The quantitative and reasoning ability questions in the IBPS PO Pre and Mains exam are more time consuming than language and need more attention and hence more practice

  • Language questions are the least time consuming and need practice for a shorter time

  • Solve sample papers towards the day of examinations to learn time management

  • Time yourself according to the time provided for each section in the actual examination

  • A descriptive section has been added to the Mains examination for which letter writing and essay writing is to be practised.


IBPS PO Answer Key 2018

IBPS does not release the IBPS PO 2018 answer key for prelims and mains exam as the test is held online. The IBPS PO answer key helps the candidates to know the correct and incorrect answers marked in the exam. IBPS PO Selection Procedure 2018

IBPS PO Selection Procedure 2018 includes stages of the recruitment procedure. Qualifying candidates of IBPS PO prelims exam will be eligible to appear for IBPS PO mains. After qualifying the mains exam, candidates will be called for the personal interview. Candidates need to secure the cutoff marks in order to qualify. The IBPS PO 2018 interview carries 100 marks. The interview lasts no longer than 15-20 minutes. The candidates must carry all required documents to the interview and must be well dressed in front of the panel composed of bank officials from 20 Participating organizations, coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. The questions will be asked about relevant banking knowledge and the candidates themselves.

Ans. No. The allotted centre can only be changed to centres of second and third choices filled by the applicant in the application form.

Ans. Yes. There's a sectional cutoff and the candidate needs to clear both sectional cutoff and overall cutoff in order to qualify.
